Quite interesitng news hit my mailbox today.

Out of my [redacted] unsubbed accounts, I received two different kinds of offers to resub. Both offered the same financial benefit (9.99 € for the first month, or either pick a deal on PLEX deals which cost more than a month's worth of subscription... hang me if I *ever* understand that).

The interesting bit, is HOW the game is being sold to an account with several years on, and to an account which lasted barely a couple months or so (now I don't remember).

The header:

Veteran account: "[Main character's name], see what Kronos brought to EVE last week"

Younger account: "The Empire factions fear your return, [Main character's name]"

My commentary:

It is interesting to see how CCP keeps reselling the game to former subscribers, and honestly the ads are engaging and well done. Marketing certainly earns their cookies!

Anyway, I've been a bit surprised to learn that Kronos actually had a theme (the "rise of the pirates" thing). Can't recall to have seen it advertised, maybe because Kronos was to be about industry and else, but industry slipped back to Crius.

Further, I wonder how many people will think like me and ask: where are the Empyreans? What if I want to prevent the nullsec capsuleers from further plaguing the universe with their guys-who-play-videogames attitude? Where is the sandbox if CCP one-sidedly decides that we all want to be psychopathic pricks and the Empires, who merely outnumber capsuleers by a million to one, are hapless to do **** about it as we Empire capsuleers are denied tools and mechanics?

Yes, CONCORD will loose their slippers in a hurry when they will see someone's ganking.

I never read lore because I usually find it too time consuming. You however have a knack for explaining and making it interesting, you should write cliff notes to the lore, I would read it. :)

…not to mention that your average mission involves murdering somewhere around 30,000 people in the span of maybe 15–20 minutes or so.

Population control has never been so easy!

Given how terrible those ships tank & DPS are they are obviously terribly under crewed and trying to make do with people sprinting around the ship star wars like after they are already taking fire to try and get to the right guns to shoot back with. :P Only explanation for why we haven't depopulated New Eden so far.

Because those same players will just have Concord come and kill you back. Highsec would descend (or ascend depending on your perspective) into Concord running around ganking everyone.

Sometimes, you don't even have to read between the lines lol. reading the above paragraph makes me wonder why the OP even plays this particular game

First of all, how does one "plague" a universe with an "I'm keeping this video game in proper context" attitude?

Secondly, how is CCP (who made a game that does not take sides) one-sidedly deciding that you need to be a prick? Hell, you don't even have to be particularly mean to anyone in this game to get filthy rich (example: his name is Cribba).

That last bit is the most telling that. How are you "denied tools and mechanics"? MOST mechanics in EVE online cater exactly to you 'empire capsuleer' types: CONCORD, crime watch, npc stations and resources in high sec, low sec, and NPC null + the VERY "unfriendly to large groups" space known as wormholes etc etc.

Basically the whole OP is high sec whining about real eve players organized null sec groups and about some imaginary 'prick' bias the game has (as is the game doesn't have 'nice guy features' like the -give money- function and modules that allow you to remotely heal random ships in space if you choose).

That 'the game won't let me be a nice guy' stuff is a lie, it's like a guy in real life saying "I would volunteer and give to charity, but there aren't enough tax breaks for stuff like that, society should reward me for doing nice things!".
