Station Trading in minor hubs

Hello,

I was recently browsing around the E-O forums, and I decided that I want to get into trading, since it seems to be a better way to get isk than manufacturing. However, I still have a established manufacturing base, and it is in a region with no major trade hubs. How can I station trade in one of the minor trade hubs, such as esescama, since the volume is so much lower?

Minor hubs are good places to buy materials and sell finished goods. Finished goods are 10-100% more expensive to purchase, and materials such as salvage are cheaper than in the major hubs (generally speaking/not true in all cases). You will not find much volume trying to play your buy/sell margins from just one minor system. Minor hub trading is mostly about pandering to the laziness of missioners. Oh and don't set up in Esescama it really sucks... ;)

I tried trading in a small mission hub for a while but didn't like the pace. It's sloooow turnover, which is horrible when I want as much of my isk flowing as possible. Having a big chunk of isk tied up on the little station means that much less isk for pursuing the real action elsewhere. That said, if you actually want a longer-term set-and-forget or update once a week strategy, it could be just what you want.

Smaller hubs will eventually turn over after a month or more, depending. I traded out of Orvolle for awhile, pretty decent sized hub but still, turnover would take a week or more. The plus side though, you can often sell at +50% going rate. Depending on your skills and the region, you could try station trading at three or four systems via the Procurment, Marketing, and Daytrading skills.

I'd recommend moving to a higher population hub, however, if you are still interested in manufacturing the low population region might serve you come summer time. Make a station trading alt perhaps? Get your manufactured goods shipped to her. All decent things you can do.
