In roughly 2 weeks time, something good/bad ( depends on your knowledge/stocks ) will be happening again to the Empire market place.

Cant say what, but when it comes i'll dig this thread back up just to post a 'Told you so'.

I will say this though, if you thought the goons oxytope/ice interdiction was impressive in how they manipulated the prices to suit themselves, then whats coming will pale in to insignificance and effect a much wider base Blink

See you all in a couple of weeks Twisted

Unless you state your predictions you may just look like Captain Hindsight.

You could make one of these posts every two weeks and say "yep, two weeks ago the items I was talking about were mex and plex", and lo and behold you'd be right.

Fair comment.

Ok, here's a prediction.

T1 ships (all races ) from dest - BC will rise sharply in price as a side effect of whats coming.

Still pretty vague i know, but thats as much as im willing to share right now until i've stockpiled enough of the items i know are going to be effected without spooking the market.

Well that's fair enough :o)

Would sound a note of caution that T1 production is, across the universe, by virtue of strong competition, tied very closely to mineral prices and spikes in demand of a given T1 ship tend to be met by increased production very quickly. That's assuming I've got what you're talking about right however, which is thrown somewhat by your cutoff of "to BC".

If your prediction were strengthening, or continued strength, in the mineral basket as a whole that would affect all T1, not just cutting off at BC - something, incidentally, I'm minded to agree with; btw, in light of the mineral basket there are some increasingly cheap looking freighters on the market right now you cheap scrotes (end plug).

Edit: hmmm - wondering out loud if we're talking about something beginning with "h" and ending in "geddon". Last I heard that was early next year but I only pay my spies minimum wage. If that is the thinking then if I recall correctly, last one didn't really have much of a noticeable effect on catalyst prices, but I pay my librarians minimum wage too.

What, are the goons going back to their good old-fashioned sub-battleship roots and starting some terror campaign across the galaxy ?

This totally has nothing to do with CCP going to a bounty-based payout for Drones. You don't need to see his identification. . . .

Isn't Hulkageddon scheduled to start in the near future? Twisted

Last I heard, drone bounties aren't coming any time soon. And min prices are already dropping from the expansion surge. I think it'll take a fundamental change in supply or demand to cause the sort of changes Lori is talking about here. I just don't see those changes happening.

my .01 cents:

So the goons have ALLOT of these new t3 battlecruiser BPO's and they need to get rid of ships at a discount?

The reality of the matter is, what the goons are planning is rather straight forward, Hike up the mineral prices 2-4 times what they are and then make t3 battle cruisers for sale at inflated prices (keep in mind the minerals they want to buy out will be at current prices and the ships they sell will be based off of NEW mineral prices)

If the goons are not planning ^ that then sorry, I will lose even more respect after your fail ice-capade, we all know it was fail, and if your still at it.. its gonna fail.

thats not all, if they want their plan to succeed, they will need to hit Gallante space and parts of Amarr space to chase away people from running missions and into mining/PVP where they should fall right into the hands of the waiting goon squads (to the tune of Hulkageddon) fool people into ganking every one (losing their own ships in the process)

The problem will be further aggravated by the fact, that the Russians got their.. lets call it.. "Automated" featured nerfed to the point of no return I.E. No more 4-8 mill every 15 min of minerals! in Drone space!, if you don't quite understand what that means, let me translate that into English, 11-15% price increase on ALL things manufactured within 1 year, IF NOTHING CHANGES and there is NO market intervention of any sort.

The goons will hit eve from multiple directions, focusing, first one the ones that yield the best results.

If your not in an alliance holding super cap fleets able to engage goon super cap fleets, you best get into a battleship, SEVERELY over tank it and go mining or whatever.

The goons will probably then, attempt to troll in their usual Cliche fashion, one of the sentences,I am expecting to see on the forums is:
"We are combating inflation"

I have only 1 warning for the goons:
IF you over do it, you could face retribution over to many accounts going inactive to fast, so don't get to greedy to fast.

Good luck, and don't fork up the game.
