God damnnit. I really need to get into this. I have had zero luck getting bears to engage me however...

Feyd, do you accept non-corped apprenticeships?

I think I'm 0/30 or so getting anyone to engage my T1 frigate. But I did have a really nice time with one guy who didn't engage though.

Anyone of the faith is embraced as brother, regardless of denomination.

The road can be hard, until high astrometric skills increase attempt frequency, and one must guard against becoming target fixated on a recalicant for more than 8-10 minutes in an attempt before moving on...

But careful attention to detail and methods will eventually yield results, for those that hang in there walking the path of the righteous.

Yea, this guy is some kind of attention whor.e. Every week he spams the forum with the links to his blog about his mighty achievements. His and his 3 to 7 friends needed for a kill. How good we are, we killed a noob that was too dumb to fall for the can flipping trap.

I already said, when you fail at other PvP games you can come to Eve. Get some similar frustrated players, exploit game mechanics to lure players into Limited combat, exploit combat mechanics(never go after ships that actually hit you) and feel good about your self.

On top of that his character is named after a book character that is literally in the humanity's cesspool. They probably share similar moral views, of course always behind closed doors.

I wonder what would happen if the Eve accounts would be linked to the Facebook accounts or Tweeter accounts like in other games and it would be visible what you actually do.

i don't understand...you wish there was a platform for you to harass someone IRL? Cause thats what this sounds like...What?

CCP used to hold HTFU as their core, but for people who have been watching for years now it's clear a pogrom of nerfdom is being pursued in a death of 1,000 cuts, in pursuit of moar subscriptions.

Truly, the original axiom of HTFU that made EvE great in the first place, is fast becoming just a marketing slogan in many eyes, when we see things like CCP recoiling at fools getting their feelings hurt...

Carebears aren't the issue. I love carebears, whenever I need to shoot someone in the face, they provide my ships to do so...

At issue are petition-bears and wailing forum-bears who drive these nerfs, with their incessant nattering for an ever-safer hisec that is heretical to HTFU.

They must be purified by fire, or shown the error of their ways by making them face the consequences of their heresies.

GOD WILLS IT.

Would you not be more effective if you countered their arguments/posts with your own well thought out responses? I mean it's just a game so i get why you'd want to shoot people (I'm down for it too) but the whole James315 esque RP thing seems a bit contrived.

Plenty of others do put out said replies. Feyd just happens to prefer counter arguments made with antimatter.

Your hard working inquisitors of HTFU wish to proudly announce their discovery of a weapon so terrible, that is has taken several iterations to refine & perfect, into a repeatable process that anyone performing non-consensual outreach can use.

Well -- if the voices outnumber yours in wanting a change, then you should HTFU and adapt, k or go away. :)

Fortunately, EVE is not a democracy. You can't just howl the loudest and overturn the founding principles of the game.

Its not the volume of the howl that matters but the quantity of voices that come together forwarding an idea.

As for the game, stagnation comes without change -- without change you'd find yourself on a slowly-capsizing ship, playing with your toys all by yourself... :'(

I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe...  Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those... moments... will be lost in time, like  tears... in... rain. Time... to die...

Well, that contradicts your "if the voices outnumbers yours" statement about as hard as it possibly can. Did you throw your back out flipping over that hard?

And as Incarna demonstrated, change for the sake of change ruins the game for everyone.

I didn't say change just for change. I am saying change to survive in a market that is about to get much harder for EVE to survive. I am unsure as to how much EVE will keep chugging along when other high-quality space MMO games come around.

*scratches head* Um, what other high quality space MMO games would you be speaking of? I know of some high quality single/multiplayer ones in the works, but no MMO's.

I imagine this to be a safe place for people like us to congregate. Every night before I go to sleep I whisper this to my pillow ...

This is my Ishkur. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My Ishkur is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my Ishkur is useless. Without my Ishkur, I am useless. I must fire my blasters true. I must orbit faster than my enemy, who is trying to kill me. I must shoot him before he shoots me. I will. Before my Dark Lord I swear this creed: my Ishkur and myself are defenders of HTFU, we are the masters of our enemy, we are the saviors of my clone. So be it, until there is no enemy, but peace. God wills it.

But then I roll over and shiver to think.. some Gallentean hooker is out there all alone, lost in space... yet unafraid. And all I can hear her saying is, "Hey, baby. You got girlfriend Dodixie?"

I have removed a rule breaking post and those quoting it.

The Rules:
33. Posting of chat logs outside the Crime & Punishment forum channel is prohibited.

The posting of chat logs between player parties is prohibited on all forum channels of the EVE Online forums, with the exception of the Crime & Punishment Channel where they can be posted as part of stories in the Pirate Story Thread.
Specific rules regarding the omission of pilot names apply in this instance. Further details can be found in the rules stickies in the Crime & Punishment forum channel.

34. Posting of kill reports outside of the Crime & Punishment forum channel is prohibited.

More often than not, posts of this nature are made with inflammatory intent and are designed to promote trolling and flaming. Therefore, the posting of links to kill reports from any third party site, or the direct copy-pasting of kill reports from in game is prohibited on all forum channels of the EVE Online Forums, with the exception of the Crime & Punishment Channel.
Specific rules regarding the omission of pilot names apply in this instance. Further details can be found in the rules stickies in the Crime & Punishment forum channel.
