Capsuleers,

We appreciate your assistance in hunting down unmanned Guristas outposts and retrieving their encrypted data. Thanks to you, we have made great strides in our quest to pin down locations of their research and trading hubs. We trust you are enjoying the rewards that the Legion has been providing for your services.

By our estimations, we have now amassed all the data we need to launch a full-scale assault on the hubs of this vile faction. Once that operation begins, we want to emphasize that your services will no longer be required, and that if you should encounter one of these hubs yourself, you should absolutely not interfere with Legion operations.

If you do, you will find us less than welcoming.

Thank you for your attention,

Ooooh, Legion forces going to be slaughtered by their own ships given to the eggers they enticed in the first place. There's a certain irony in this, but I hardly find it particularly surprising.

I wonder who makes these decisions of dangling nice juicy bits of meat in front of a pack of carnivores, then snatching them away and thinking it's a good idea? Their mouths are watering and someone's getting eaten.

Prime Node. Ask me about augmentation.

Ms. Aina,

I appreciate the time you took to make this post. There are two particular aspects of it, however, that I must question.

Firstly - why are you attempting to tell capsuleers what they can or cannot do? I'm sure we all remember the infamous CONCORD announcement about "ghost sites," in which Squarejaw McGrumpyface repeatedly told us that the empires demanded our compliance and insisted that we not go anywhere near Ghost Sites. Not only did this announcement have precisely the opposite effect to that which CONCORD intended, it informed previously ignorant capsuleers of the existence of ghost sites. Given that Mordu's Legion is far more worldly and pragmatic, I have to say that frankly I expected a little better from you.

Secondly - why are you making veiled threats against capsuleers? At the very best, some of us - like me - will humour your request with some degree of eye-rolling simply because we're currently busy doing other things. Most of us will scoff. Some of us will see it as a challenge. Unless you plan on fielding thousands of capsuleers against us, there's not much you can really do - sure, you can put bounties on our heads or give us terrible standing, but the vast majority of us don't care about standing with Mordu's Legion. Out here in nullsec, I regularly fight Guristas battlegroups by myself (sorry, Ohminen - no hard feelings, but I need my payday just like you do!) without breaking a sweat, and I've fought entire Mordus fleets intruding into Federal territory before - I appreciate that with the new technology you've brought out your non-capsuleer forces might have a slight edge over current pirate fleets, but that's not going to make a great amount of difference to us.

Please rest assured that I'm not trying to mock you. I'm genuinely unclear as to why you're trying this course of action when you must know it's not going to deter us.

More intel, more empty threats.

I'm almost starting to like you people. Good luck on the attack on the Guristas to reclaim your stolen assets. We'll be right behind, watching as you and the Pirates kill each other.

Just keep in mind, the one holding the field in the end gets to loot the wrecks.

Ah, good to see that no one ever learns, ever.

Threatening to blow up capsuleers doesn't work, Mordu's Legion.

They don't ask Dusters, they pay them and tell them what to do. Thats the way of the mercenary.

Yeah cause CONCORD telling us not to touch Ghost sites or enter Wormholes worked so well right?

Wouldn't just paying us for our assistance be more practical? It'd certainly assuage the largest part of Empyrean curiosity.

Commander Aina;

Others have already said much on this topic. All I will say is that capsuleers naturally respond to proper incentive. You would do better to encourage us to assist you in this endeavor.

What's more, it may be ideal for the Legion to more closely ally itself to a CONCORD signatory. At present, while I greatly respect the Legion's work in the Intaki and Luminaire systems on behalf of Ishukone Okusaika, I still think of the Legion as a mercenary force. Unfortunately, mercenaries do not merit much loyalty when operating independently of a contractor.

Yours in service,

Indeed. The number one best way to stop capsuleers shooting at you is to make it more profitable to assist you.

You have touched Flame to the Pyre to batter your enemy.

Then, you would simply Command the Conflagration to extinguish itself.

Foolish.

Now you will see what a Flame Does. It's sole design.

It Consumes.

You'll find it's very difficult to uninvolve capsuleers, and I am not certain how much hope is at the bottom of our Pandora's Box.

Tsuni Aina,

You can not reason with the Pilots of New Eden as you might base-liners or expect any of your requests to be taken seriously without incentives to ignore more base Pilot instincts. Concord does not ask or request - it within reason, understands Pilots. It provides limited annoyances some might consider "consequences" to breaking its suggestions. It feeds and provides overwhelming incentives to Pilots to act naturally in directions it desires.

Pilots have Clearance Documents, and only occasionally pay attention to the desires of The Assembly. Reconsider your operation and its associated goals preferably now rather than when you find yourself in a new clone.

What exactly are Mordu's Legion forces doing at these sites? You prevent capsuleers from warping off and attempt to destroy their vessels, yet you don't seem to be destroying the hubs.

All due respect to Mordu's Legion and what you've done, but this request is too vague with not enough authority or reason behind it.

Are you trying to stop their research, or just take it for yourselves?

Good, give them hell.

I'd help you as I roam Gurista's territory quite often, but, well... If you need your intel so bad you forbid capsuleers to interfere - that's your choice.

Basically, this is a manoeuvre toward legitimacy, in my estimation. By asserting physical control over additional territories, by asserting the position to impart compensatory or punitive exchange within that sphere, they shift their identity from mercenary company to astropolitical authority. The system within that sphere is employed less to provide quid pro quo and more to supply the tacit acknowledgement of their right to do so.

They didn't want capsuleers' help to secure access to the hubs, they wanted capsuleers to accept that they had the right to access the hubs at all. Purely political.

Mr. Mintor;

When discussing these sites, you'd reported that the hubs appear to have high-grade shielding of some sort. Could it be that they're hacking or otherwise penetrating the hub's security systems, to cause system failure?

Commander Aina;

Some associates and I were discussing these facilities. Simply said, is there any way we can assist you in this endeavor?
