I am actually even more dissapointed the information about the withdrawal of industry was so non-existant Evil. This information should at least have been pushed with the same vigour as the information about the industry changes initially...

It was one of the main reasons I re-subbed to the game so it does feel a bit sour...even though...as someone else mentioned the absolute worst would have been if they introduced the changes and there was something wrong with them or broke balance or something.

But again...I could live with the failed promise to deliver the industry changes if only they INFORMED us ASAP...

I mean this is CCP right...not Wargaming P

I wonder what the flood here would have been if this was a branch of ships we where talking about...but its only industry right...so who cares right...

Your failure to read dev blogs is not the fault of CCP.

It's not their fault you couldn't be arsed to read the dev blog.

GrrrProperly planned releases!

Nope. There's still heavy testing and feedback being given. We don't need any more expansions being implemented half-baked to pacify those with short attention spans (who'll probably complain the loudest on release anyway).

There has been plenty of communication about the shift from Kronos to Crius, and opportunity to give feedback on the change. If you knew about the upcoming indy changes, you knew where to look to keep an eye on rescheduling.

Go have a look at some of the Dev blog feedback threads. That, btw, is other players contributing to the changes so you don't have to.

no, 6 or so weeks isn't long to wait in order to have something that works rather than a broken game.

also you were warned in advanced.

Industry is a huge part of the game, so my guess is many players care.

After reading the Devblog about why the change was pushed back to Crius, I guess most of us are happy to give CCP some slack to make sure it is right.

However, you don't have long to wait until you can test it yourself and provide constructive feedback. It will be on SiSi on Tuesday.

Well. It was announced twenty-one days before the Kronos release the industry redo was to be delayed by six weeks.

I think they'll deliver in those six weeks, too. Did you know that some games risky investments don't deliver basic gameplay for six months after the promised release date?

Perhaps...but I think the size of this fall-off well justified an e-mail to all subscribers. I mean Kronos was gonna be "the industry patch" right...

they don't email people for the csm elections

the chance they'll mail anyone for an announcement they've already made was like wishing you win the lottery without buying a ticket.

Would you like an email for every change. Look, you know where to find the info. Your own ignorance and therefore your own outrage is your fault alone. Hell if you watched the expansion to release section of the keynote this exact scenario was discussed. How can you possibly be surprised?

I know right? I mean those subs, PLEX and Aurum are all going to charity of course.

... and yes OP, I'm disappointed that CCP has put off the industry expansion. The overwhelming majority of dev blogs leading up to Kronos were "Industry, industry oh and more industry... aaaand psyche!"

If you're going to spend months leading up to an expansion basically telling everyone that it's an industry expansion, and then all you really put out are three ships that any 3D modeler out of art school could have thrown together in a couple of weeks, then that's just bad business practice.

well, when the information is there for people... yeah, a mass mail is somewhat redundant for something so trivial.

None of those things entitle you to expansions. A sub grants you access to the server on an as-is basis. While that money is obviously being used to cover the cost of continued development, there is no promise of that in the exchange.

Man, this thread is bunk.

It's the OP's fault for not seeing the headline pinned to the very top of the launcher for a solid week or bothering to go to the news page a single time.

It is good that CCP listened to the player feedback and delayed the industry 'add-on' (what do we call new stuff now that expansions as such are a thing of the past)? until it has been much improved and ready for release.

A badly re-balanced ship is annoying, industry being borked would be a disaster for so much of the game.

I have never got around to manufacturing, although I shall when the new shiny industry stuff is released.

This is not a signature.
