So here's some background.

The alliance I just brought my corp into copped a wardec from some guys. Really experienced guys, really know their stuff. We're just having far too much fun to pay :D

But anyway, merely minutes before we got the mail from concord, we had a guy join one of the other corps. Really suspicious fellow, was asking about locations of industrial assets, what ships we have, other corp activities, etc. Flags went up. Even gave them a broken API.

So I formulated a plan to feed some false intel to him and see if he bites.

Within a few hours, we received an evemail from our wt. Basically, this guy tried to sell us out for 500 mil with tactical info. To prove his worth, he mentioned the exact system I put in an Alliance mail!

So, they ganked his ship, and kicked him. He still maintains his innocence. The following evemails ensue (names censored):

Now you have made an enemy. Remember butterfly effect? He will make a new alt, infiltrate your corp, and leave your corp with nothing more but the ships you're in (if you're lucky). Beware!

Hmm.. appears I didn't go into enough detail.

I don't believe he is a spy alt of these guys, but I wouldn't entirely rule out that possibility. In all honesty, I believe he just saw an opportunity to make some ISK out of it, and took it.

Pretty moronic on his part, though.

In all honesty, I have respect for highsec "griefers" as some bears would call them, and mad respect for mercenaries. I love pvp, actually. But everyone is different.

But the reason I posted this was to crack fun on the way he talked.

I don't see any proof that the guy was a spy. You sent a mail to everyone in your alliance to trap a spy and then shot a new member because you thought he was dodgy.

Paranoiad carebears are a wonderful thing eh?
