No matter how much you whine and argue, one simple fact remains. CCP is not likely to ever remove the ability to gank others or increase the penalties to gankers.

Realize this is a fact, haulers, like I do and plan accordingly. Face the fact that you will always be a target, and stop ignoring all the posts telling you how to make yourself a less juicy target. Yes, there will always be gankers going after haulers, but they go after the juicy targets more often than not.

Crying about ganking on forums just feeds the gankers more tears, which is how they truly get paid for ganking you.

Ganking was heavily nerfed with JF/freighter buff.

You can get over 1 million HP on JFs.

And you poor babies want more.

EvE-Mail me if you need anything.

I would be fine if the gankers had to commit to a gank before being able to so accurately assess whether or not it would be in their best interest. Possibly a change to cargo / ship scanners?

There's nothing wrong with what you're describing. Getting a good result from being prepared is not something that should be "fixed".

That would kill the entire profession, reducing it to simply a lottery that you would lose almost every time.

Competent gankers do their homework whilst lazy whinebear haulers don't, therefore your solution is to remove the ability of one side to put in effort and reap the rewards? Derp.

Say the cargo scanner could only assess a portion of the items in tow.

Why is it that all of your suggestions are a functional ban on ganking?

This doesnt necessarily mean a gank will fail. You might even be able to predict some of the other items being carried based on the result. But you will not have that near 100% assurance that the gank will turn a profit

You don't have a 100% assurance right now. Or anything close to it.

Do you actually understand how the game's looting system works, or what?

Same result.

You have yet to explain why people who put in the time and effort should be nerfed to protect the hauler pilots who put in no effort to protect themselves.

And when gankers yet again adapt to yet another nerf to ganking, what will your next brilliant suggestion be?

I've been on the receiving end of a few suicide ganks and every last one of them was entirely my fault. There are no victims, only people who do dumb things. Note to self: don't go AFK in a T1 hauler by a gate.

100% assurance that the gank could* turn a profit. Misspoke.

The intent being that you cant as easily filter out the ones that just wont be profitable

So, you think that a 100% chance to get a maybe needs to be nerfed?

Why?

They already have an existing risk of a good target turning bad anyway. You do realize, that given the cargo value threshold, that unless they have loaded significantly above it (talking half a billion or so) that your chance to either lose or break even is fairly high?

Why?

We have to sift through hundreds of targets and we often cant scan everything that comes through the gates. You are effectively demanding that we gank blind. Piracy in high sec as a profession would be impossible.

Can't... Resist... Elitist... Response....:
Adapt.

Nah but kidding aside.

Why should gankers get to bypass all targets that would guarantee them a loss?
