2. I spend much of my day defensive plexing my home system. Every. Single. Day. As long as I am online and at the keyboard, no wartarget captures a plex in my system. Yet there I am spending hours deplexing. If I don't, few others will, and the system slowly ticks up. That not pressure?
Do you still spend much of your day defensive plexing, or is this all a pre-Kronos statement?

Fair enough. The largest alt plexing army has never won FW. Fact.

It is a fact, but since there was cross-plexing it is also an irrelevant fact. The side with the largest alt farm helping them did "win" which is the more relevant fact.

Anyway based on the vp numbers it seems gallente might now have the largest alt plexing army.

Could be.

Could also be that we're deliberately taking advantage of the ease of plexing and our superior warzone control to solidify our buffer zones.

In: Alt plex army helped Gallente win FW.

I'll agree to that.

The stability of Nisuwa/Notoras is more dependent on our bloodlust than our deplexing alts. The alts are there so we can go kill more squids, who, as the direct result of going back home in a capsule/instantly, don't run any plexes.

We've had this discussion internally many times: One guy will get burned out by deplexing and vents about nobody else helping out. Another guy chimes in, saying that he's killing ships that would have been plexing, thereby making the first guy's job easier, and thus, helping out. The first guy is usually still too grumpy to admit that the second is right by the end of the conversation.

This gets back to your original idea; you're right in your assessment that those who contribute most to the meaningful value of the warzone aren't rewarded by game mechanics.

CCP stated pretty damn clearly that this change wasn't intended to totally prevent plex farming altogether.

So long as it's had a significant impact - and it seems like it has based on the contested percentages marching down the past several days - it's op success in my book.

You can't run novices, smalls, and mediums in one stabbed T1 frigate anymore. Stabbed destroyers will be horribly inefficient at medium plexes. Rather then further fine tuning FW mechanics CCP should take a look at Null. Fix Null and more of this will fall away.

Or maybe give the nullbots what they want and allow the few actual players there a method to hunt cloaked ships. That way null can finally reach its potential as an impenetrable farmer paradise and FW wont be such an attraction to the swarm of risk averse afkswarm.

Nope, it just means they'd be able to AFK farm in Null with impunity AND farm away in FW at the same time.

It's semantics. Since their is cross plexing and many alts don't care where they are plexing you basically have the caldari/amarr plexing alt army versus the minmatar/gallente plexing alt army.

As to how much of an effect that alt army had I think it did the overwhelming amount of work. But others disagree. We hashed this out back when the medal was awarded and I am willing to stand by the data I used back then and don't really have the time or inclination to look at it any more. If people want to see the stats and data we were slinging at each other back then they can feel free to look it up.

I am willing to leave it as reasonable people can disagree.

IMO this is the emphasis faction war should have, and the mechanics should emphasize that. There are 2 ways you can defend your systems:

1) by blowing up people who would oplex before they can capture a plex
Or you can
2) let them capture a plex and then deplex it when they leave.

I saw/see way too much of the latter strategy.

I would love it if CCP would make mechanics that make it more rewarding/easier to do 1, and less rewarding/easy to do 2.

And yes I may be batsh___ crazy but I would like a militias to be able to spread out and defend all of their systems by method one. Not just a home systems.

Pure farmers will do their best to not get blown up (or to make it meaningless, by flying an empty hull/pod) and, on average, will succeed.

If you want more PVP, make it easier for the people that ALREADY want to PVP.

As i said before, getting rid of farmers altogether is the best way. PVPers will have more ISK and more time to put it on the field. Kronos is a good step in the right direction, imo.

Never try to 'force' people to fight, make it easier for the fighters to blow themselves up all day.

Caldari State" victoryPoints="18240"
Amarr Empire" victoryPoints="10120"
Minmatar Republic" victoryPoints="9420"

Going down a little bit on our front. Seems like Amarr/Minmatar holding steady.

More "max stabilized" systems - especially home systems. "Farmers" are hitting defensive more than offensive right now.

More roaming gangs, fewer plexing ops, larger ships (having nothing to do with Large Plexes).

It used to be that you didn't get vp for cross plexing. Does anyone know if that is still the case?
