Yep, this old chestnut. I know its been made several million times but I'll do it proper and not be Fury Botted and make it in OOPE. Also i dont want to necro old threads.

So, what are you playing now beside EVE?

Currently im on a OMFG Titanlfall binge. Love the game. Friend gave me a key the other week and i just cant get enough. So if anyone else has it let me know, we can murder people in our titans together. I get a ping of about 130-150 for the USA from Japan so not too terrible.

Other than that im a big turn based RPG fan. I love Shadowrun Returns and Shadowrun Online and kickstarted them both heavily. Big on XCOM too. Both the new one and the original. Wastleland 2 is also great, but I suggest waiting until August now until its released. Love point and click games too. If youre a fan of Monkey Island i strongly recommend Deponia. Its made by Germans believe it or not. Who'd have thought Germany would have rekindled the P&C genre?

Also a big fan of the Mass Effect games and enjoy ME 3's MP. So if you like that too let me know and we shall slaughter aliens together. Not averse to some killing floor either. Though burnt out heavily on left 4 dead.

So post away. Hopefully some connections can be made. Would love to enhance the OOPE community by sharing our love of killing everything that moves. Blink

Found this wonderful little game called Sword and Sworcery on my iPhone. It's kind of adventure/puzzle solving.. not fast paced at all. The scenery is pixellated magic and the music is amazing. The main person is a girl, like in Metroid.

I think it's also on Google Play and Steam.

I'm stuck in the spot with a huge ocean to my right. I am still mulling it over..

EvE is the only game I play.

I don't really have the time for any others, but I've also never found anything else that interests me that much either.

I haven't really ever played much in the way of computer games at all until I started playing EvE.

The short list or the looooong?
I'll just list the past 30 days

EVE: hour or two a day or so avg. Now and then longer.
NWN2: still quite playable but really needs a NWN3.
Space Empires V: play on windows and linux, one of the best spacy turn-base 4x
Uplink: win/linux/android cuz I needz t0 hakz
Second Life: no... I'm not a perv, I make stuff. Some good pvp too Arrr.. win and android
Time Pilot: MAME emu, yes classic arcade game, works great on windows.
The legend of Zelda: yes from nes, but on a windows emu.
Neverball: linux and win. Like marble madness but with a ball.
Ingress: long live the resistance! android google game.
Knights of pen and paper: I just have the android version. really nice mobile RPG game.
OpenArena: think Quake 3. I run on android and win.
Skyrim: my assassin build as always.
Lastly my own game, not mentioning name. Personal project, long time of work in, runs, more work to do. -rpg, cyberpunk, d20 rules.

My first video game I ever played, it was sears pong. A PvP game hehe. But I learned how to play it PvE and win! So tied with my older sister, on the winning round, and just before the last goal, I punch my sister in the arm = PvE mode for teh win!!!

I'm in it for the money

Lately I've pretty bored with modern games so I've been enjoying games from my NES collection, specifically the original Castlevania, The Guardian Legend, Kirby's Adventure, and Tengan Tetris.

Ha ha! Damn Jason....

Anyway, Napoleon Total War and Hearts of Iron III. I'm about to teach the Austrians a good hard lesson in NTW. HOI, I kind of still need to learn the rules.... It's got a learning curve like EVE's.

EvE was my first MMO. Started it when I got a decent PC, everything else has been after that.

I played a browser based strat game in Beta for a while called Imperion, although they changed the name a few times. Was a space themed Travian type game. They kept switching Beta servers so I ended up on a German server which was really difficult (I don't speak German lol). Anyway I was just farming planets and extending my defensive fleet but I ended up in the top 10 for planet owners because I'd started so early which made me a giant target, so quit. Looked really interesting actually, they were forming larger groups at that point. Just checked, looks like they retired it, shame because it was really interesting and the community were quite funny.

Tried WoW for a bit, but I just couldn't get into it. Someone harassed me in the starter area, running in front of me killing the quest rewards and just generally being a tool. Got a bit annoyed because I wanted to kill him and loot him but couldn't so emo quit for a year or so. Went back a while later and got upto about level 65, then just got bored and quit. Everyone in EvE took the mickey out of me for being really excited when I got my first mount :P Joinedf a few guilds but the majority of players just did my head in.

Played WoT for a while (with another EvE player) although we both got bored around Level 5 grinding. The blokes in our EvE corp wouldn't play with us much because they said we were rubbish. So we 'accidentally' killed them a few times with splash damage when we did duel arties. I'll probably go back and try the Battleships/Warplanes at some point.

Tried Second Life pre-Incarna to check out the market and avatar based gameplay, but ye, I won't go into that.

Beta tested SW:TOR and played for about 6 months after release, focused on WZs. I do really love Huttball :P I ended up in one of the top ranking PVP guilds on a smallish server pre server merge. Funnily enough there were some former EvE players there too. But tbh I found the PVP guilds really anal and they just stripped all the fun out of playing. Also after level 50 it turned into another gear grind so quit that too. My early guilds really irritated me for nagging to do raids when they were one short (I have no interest in raiding and no idea what I'm doing). Funnily enough the biggest problem there were female guild leaders and officers in hybrid guilds who could not understand an interest in PVP and kept trying to pursuade me (really condescendingly) that raiding is the pinnacle of gaming.

Same with GuildWars, pre-ordered it but only played for a few days. I think it helps finding a group to play with but I'd rather just talk to people here.

I've downloaded various others (LoL, HoN, BF3, Planetside) but find them a bit tricky to get into, and boring solo. Had a look at Entropy because someone mentioned it had an interesting market but after reading the first page of their GD I noticed they were competing over how much real $ they'd dropped into the game and smugging over it Roll

Also, yes d2o rules, hence my name. G.U.R.P.S. is boss for creating cyberpunk campaigns. I hope to play a true cyberpunk mmo before I die.

Obligatory Cyberpunk plug...If you like it buy the book!

I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe...  Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those... moments... will be lost in time, like  tears... in... rain. Time... to die...

I have press credentials, so I play a little bit of a lot of things. I really enjoy EVE, of course, but I also like X-Com, the Dawn of War series (I eagerly await a third installment, or some kind of 40k game that isn't **** ****ing chess), the Fallout series, as well as a wide variety of 4X games.

Hilariously all of those are time gobblers, so I often flitter between them periodically.

"Verily, I have often laughed at the weaklings who thought themselves good because they had no claws."

One of ours, ten of theirs.

Best Meltdown Ever.

Of course I... meant... d20 rule set/system.... hehe
From wizzards of the coast, D&D etc... people can get a license to use the rule set in their own production games, and with no fees.

Neuromancer? already have it, as well as on audio, It's ok. Bladerunner is more my thing, as well as Tron, Matrix, Dark City etc. More techno cyberpunk. Less nerdy more geeky.

I have been perusing the Souls games.

They are pretty decent, lore and ambience-wise. It is like an exercise in insanity, lol.

As for mechanics...

Let's just say I have done my fair share of dying.

Blink

And I absolutely love the PvP.

Fun games.

*edit

Realized the title of the thread.

Hell, I have been playing games my entire life, lol.

I love a decent JRPG.

Love the open style of a Bethesda game more, though. (Todd Howard is a genius, in my opinion.)

State of Decay eats a lot of my time.

As does Civ, but I am beginning to believe everyone loves Civ.

Other than that, it is EvE. Realistically, my favorite Multiplayer game.

Once you realize what a joke everything is, being the comedian is the only thing that makes sense.

Right now it's EVE, Counter-Strike Source, and ever since the new Unreal Tournament got announced I've been playing the three UT games available on Steam, UT99 moreso than the rest. I've just lately been able to take on bots set to Godlike difficulty and not come in dead last every time, so that's a lot of fun.

It takes a while to figure out, it's bewildering. There is just so much crud in that sandbox, it's embarrassing. Mostly the mainland though, a wasteland, but once you get out into the privately owned sims, it's not so bad. Anyway, imo, if you are not clad head to toe in working pvp firearms and firing off rounds from cannons at enemy players and their toys, you're doing it all wrong Big smile

But what I find most interesting is that it is a true pure sandbox. It's not even really a game, no real "avatar based gameplay" by default (well not until recently, they added some junk). Any 'game' in there is made by the communities, not the developers, they just provide the scripting tools to make it. I've even seen elaborate quest systems in there, full story mode. Creatively interesting stuff.

Anywat, I'm easy, I'll play just about any sandbox game, and just about have, I'm such a sandboxslut. Though there are not that many, they are just so hard to develop compared to level progression games for the cashcow cha-ching. Even ESO = themepark Roll f'ing zanymax/bethesDuh *shakes fist* "we want bored wow players not our huge existing player-base".
