Is Reikoku still active?

Hey guys,

Many many years ago I had played Eve as a Character named Ki'li, I set up a Frigate PvP corp (back when kestrel's could fit Cruise Missles) named Reikoku (RKK) after a few months my mother passed away and I left the corp to my XO DB Preacher as I took an extended Hiatus from the game. It's my understanding that in my absence RKK went on to help form the dreaded BoB.

While I had little to nothing to do with with the corps rise to power it's interesting that this little corp I started eventually went on to such big things. I had come and gone from EvE a few times since then and recently made a new account with the Humble Bundle. I largely consider my self a newbie still.

I was just wondering if RKK is still around, I tried reaching out in game but got largely ignored. I don't blame them as my original character got scrap heaped.

TLDR: I formed RKK years ago and shortly after quit. Recently returned to the game and was wondering if my old corp was still active.

Evewho says yes:

Part of Pandemic Legion, so still quite powerful in the game it would seem.

im pretty sure i read a corp history story about the start of rkk a VERY long time ago.

wasnt you fighting in low sec against a bigger entity, vastly outnumbered and out gunned but you just kept comein back time after time in your frigs, then one of the leaders of the other side really liked how you was runnin your people and some kind of friendship amoungst your pirate corps was started?

like i say, must be gettin on 10yrs since i read that story

That is exactly how it went down. We owned a Kestrel BPO and I provided free Kestrels to the corp. I spent my down time mining in an Armageddon and building frigs to throw at our enemies. We would lose more ships every fight but were winning the isk war by a large margin.

We were working with another frigate pvp corp at the time called Naginata which was run by Miso and Eventually Jade Constantine gave us a down payment to fund our operations and fight on their behalf in Venal I believe.

I don't think they are going to fall for this one.

Once you realize what a joke everything is, being the comedian is the only thing that makes sense.

They're around… of sorts. The RKK (and maybe a few iterations after that as well) I was in closed down and was reformed some time after the BoB→IT→whatev's shuffle.

<-- original alt was a RKK director more than 10 years ago - I joined just after you (Ki'li) disappeared.

I haven't read through it but I think that covers things up to the last year or so.

Read a couple myself this morning, DBP's recollection of when things happened is flakey in the early days but its certainly a blast from the past.

I remember miso, j0sephine, NVA, Jade (there wasn't a down payment to join the NVA Ki'li). I remember nobody in the NVA (or half of RKK) trusting me as I'd been in Space Invaders & having a "pirate" as a director wasn't entirely welcomed. I remember opening RKK's first office in Venal after we "encouraged" another corp to move Twisted

What you miss is the past, not the way Eve used to be. You miss things being new.

Jade originally made a small donation for us to cover logistics cost when deploying for venal. It wasn't actually a payment to join one side or another. I should have clarified.

I think you're somewhat confused as you weren't actually playing when RKK joined the NVA?

DBP spent ages with Jade/etc trying to get RKK accepted into NVA & people hauled their own stuff.

Like I said I rented the first office in H-PA29 & you were long gone by this point, so I suspect time has clouded your recollections. Happens to us all.....

Im gonna go ahead and assume not a troll.

We're very much alive and active, if you need to get in touch use "Blackpool Tower" channel ingame. We're in a good place with PL, can still partake in the epic side of eve without having to run the corp like a MSE to keep everything functioning, everyone is happy.

Galavet is still somewhat active, though not currently CEO, he took the helm off of DBP not long after DBP took it from yourself, believe preacher wanted to stick to FCing and avoid the logistical side of things.

DBP hasnt played for years, hes still a leading exec on GTA at Rockstar North, so I imagine spends most of his time travelling for business and being rich as fk.

Other names you may remember that are about in one form or another (not necessarily playing EVE actively) are Grimster and Morealis, both 03 members.

Hope thats somewhat helpful.

(also ill add that the corp was reformed due to public shares, there was an activity lull between FAIL alliance and 401k, but the corp never officially closed)

Correct I wasn't playing when RKK joined the NVA but we were playing as a frigate PvP corp and Jade and I were discussing assisting their war effort. Neither here no there though lol :)

That's awesome I've joined the channel I'd love to catch up. I never knew DB was that far up the food chain, good for him. :) He never was much for leadership in EvE. He ran a small mining corp and merged with RKK shortly after its creation. I gave him and his XO director roles when we merged. He was supposed to handle our production side but he fell in love with PvP and I ended up doing most of our manufacturing and mining to keep the guys flying haha.

And I'm not a troll, I have nothing to gain, I'm not trying to join up, or reclaim any past glory, just sharing a bit of knowledge from the past. :)
