At the risk of sounding clichéd, if you're getting into a fair fight, either you or your opponents have failed. EVE isn't fair. But fair has nothing to do with it.

Basically this. Yesterday we 6v1'ed (if you can call it that) a solo noob rifter in a belt while laughing at the people yelling at us in local. Not an hour later, our t1 frigate gang got blopsed by six redeemers a panther and a sin. Was hilarious, and we think they spent more on fuel than we did on our ships. (they may have gotten some neutral AF's that were on grid, not sure).

There's always a bigger fish.

However , there ARE people there looking for solo fights , mostly in fw space , who WILL try and get those even fights and at times fight even if they know the outcome probably will mean their ship's death.Offcourse this also means running into the blops/linkalts/etc a lot of times but hey that's part of the game.

Odd as it may sound to a lot , for some people the challenge still is more fun then the k/d ratio Roll .

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.

Yes, the point is indeed wrong by virtue of it's inherently contradictory nature. If it was impossible to make ISK without buying PLEX, there would be no ISK to exchange for those PLEXes. The PLEX prices right now ar just a bubble anyway — the same ISK bouncing back and forth between speculators.

Your other point is also wrong: wasting more money on PLEX doesn't mean you win. It only means you lose more real-life cash on a futile hope that you'll be able to compensate a lack of skill with more shinies. Fortunately, the game doesn't work that way.

Eh, I use plex not to compensate for lack of skill, more that currently I dont have the time required anymore to make money and have fun with it.

So plex = weekend of lowsec suicide frig fights for me (though for some reason I never die, everyone else in my group does, which is sad cause im sitting on like 100 sentinels fitted up for maximum dickage right now, ♥ me some triple-neut double-TD)

The writing style and avatar design looks so familiar. I just can't put my finger on it..

Idk, the one day when I woke up to him having died about 30 times in a few hours I almost choked on a muffin.

I got some once where the timeframe could only have been from repeated poddings. I laughed pretty hard at those.

I'd love it if they came with the killmails, I know its trivial to go and get them but it would fit rather nicely in my mind for the grumpy concord guy to provide that kind of info.

So it has become more and more difficult to have make Isk due to hostle blobs everywhere exept hi sec. On top of this galentee keeps getting nerfed. The only way ive found that it is possile to make isk is by carebear mining*gasp* but that is so far from being a sustainable income for one account.

Point is it is impossible to make isk without buying PLEX which is wrong because I already subscribe to the game. I shouldent have to pay for other parts of the game due the fact I already pay to play.

PvP- Blob or be blobed. PvP in this game has nothing to do with what you have or how good you are with it. It is all about who has more guns on field.

This sad fact makes CCP's balencing of the game USELESS. My 100 rookie ships will kill your tens of billions worth of blinged out Battleships anyday.

Point is this game is getting very stale. Skill doesnt matter. The only thing that matters is who can buy more PLEX than the other guy will win. I have never gotten into an even matched fight in 1 year playing this game. People will only fight you if its 4 of them against you. It simply isnt fun being blobbed or honestly blobbing people. Unfortunately that is the lame nature of this game. I cant stand being in fights that last 5 secconds.

Long story short I do not feel like my subscription fee's are fair for what I get. Now we have to pay for ship paint jobs too plus being allowed to use our charicter slots? We already subscribe. I just feel ripped off. CCP needs to worry less about balencing ships and actually making good fights in the game. Balenced ships are pointless if you cant get a balenced numbers fight.

wait wait wait.

You HAVE to pay for paintjobs? Hardly.
You have to pay to use your chacter slots? Again, nope. You do if you want to train more than one toon per account though. Before this was implemented, you were limited to training only one toon per account at a time.

I haven't bought a single plex with RL money since May 2011 (I started playing in January 2011). I don't know what you are getting at here.

I solo PVP often enough. You have to know how to use your d-scanner and pick your fights. Not every ship carries a cyno around, and not every guy has a 100man carrier blob waiting to save him.

To me, it sounds like you don't know what you are doing with your time in game.

This is as nice as I get. Best quote ever https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=4137165#post4137165

Certainly one idea to help unify the playerbase.

Close the gap between new and veteran players by doing something they can both enjoy. Making fun of bad players.

That just means you're bad at using the tools at your disposal.

You gotta have people to put into the tools...

What tools ? In a 5-10 man corp taking on the CFC, please list the provided tools. I'm new and I'm very much interested in what I am missing so such a list will be very helpful. The Bigger your list the better. FYI we fly mostly T1 frigs, destroyers and cruisers. Not sure about all those tools you bring up, pls pls pls make a list for us, because so far we've been juts gankign miners and ratters here and there and it got boring so we're ready for all those provided tools to be used, but we're not sure what they are.

Pls Pls Pls give us a hint how to take out some sov in a 10 man group, with all those provided tools, we really would like to see the list.

Edit: we fly T1 frigs destroyers and cruisers.

thanks for the assistance.

I think it is great you can gank miners... That isnt PvP though. Thats called blob or be blobbed. Also the whole reason why I am quitting this game.

Why should ten frigs be able to take sov?

Oh... unless you mean like in Timbuktu or Chad or Somalia, where you turn up in a dozen technicals and claim some dirt in the name of some warlord or other.

That's not really holding Sov, and if it is, don't be suprised when the local French drop Mirage IIIs and Jaguars all over your precious little patch.

You are saying that ganking miners is not PvP. That must mean that either the miners or the gankers are not players. There are no mining NPCs, and NPCs don't gank. That leaves bots as the only alternative, and of the two, only miners have a history of being associated with botting.

So I'm telling you that your assertion — that ganking miners isn't PvP — is somewhere between totally erroneous and deeply prejudiced. They're players, just like the gankers. Ganking is PvP, pretty much by definition, unless you accidentally come across a gaggle of bots.
