Duality Server & Passworded Systems for 2014?

EDIT: To elaborate my opinion - any password protected system with a seeded market will do just fine, doesn't matter on what server this would be happening.

The service offered last year was a HUGE HUGE help to us smaller alliances. Without it we spend on average at least 2-4 hours a day just in preparation alone before practice times even begin.

I speak for the Droog-Elite-PVP-Juggernaut and all vassals when I say Duality almost necessary for decent practices. It's also one of the safest places to link buttes in local.

If Duality is reserved for internal development server needs, could it be arranged with passworded systems on SiSi then? It should be possible to close off some dead-ends without disturbing the public testing too much and I think most teams would be ready to deal with a few things being out of step with TQ for the chance of a little privacy.

Hey everyone. We can now confirm that we will indeed be opening up Duality to tournament teams for practice this year. The same system locking mechanic will also be returning from last season.

To keep the workload manageable for our volunteers this year we will be updating Duality much much more rarely (last year we kept it up to date with TQ so you could connect directly with your TQ client, and that was a giant pain in the ****). This means that you'll need to connect to duality with a direct link to the exefile.exe and avoid updating that client folder.

We will also be cutting back on the hand holding for people who do silly things like forget their system password and lose contact with their captain (yes it happened more often than you'd expect). Try not to mess that up quite so much this year guys. P

The server won't be up quite yet and will only be available to eligible teams. We'll be keeping you updated as we get it ready.
