Clothing Issue

Admittedly compared to the rest of the scope of eve this is trivial as hell, but thought I'd just point this out as I can.

Saw new clothing out and had spare Aur from when some was given out a looong time ago. Bought a dress and it all looked good. Then realised that you can't have the char wear the dress without trousers. Seems a bit weird considering most women wear a dress without wearing trousers as well. I understand they want to enforce the use of bottom wear so people don't have silly capsuleer pictures where we are all flying about without something on down there, but could they put something out that does not require trousers if your already wearing a dress or a skirt? Just an idea.

Like I said admittedly its really not important at all compared to actual game play issues etc. I am aware of this. Just thought I'd put it out there.

Thanks

You could of course mimic this by flying with no pants....at your computer

Despite my posting prowess I really am terrible at this game

This already exists. The Structure dress (like the one I'm wearing) does not require a bottom. I believe this is also true of some of the longer default outerwear. Obviously, there is a flag on these items to allow this (or a different location id). I would presume that the piece you bought was not long enough for the devs to enable this.

Perhaps there should be longer versions available of some of the styles. The Sanctity "dress" (I'm guessing this is what you bought) works well at its current length, but would also look great with a bit more length.

I think it would be better if they asked some of the female devs at CCP to put forward some ideas for female avatar clothing rather than seemingly allow the male contingent to attempt designing feminine clothing. Seriously who would wear either of the two new supposedly dresses put forward for us girls to wear ? Probably most sluts wouldn't wear those designs.

Failing that could CCP consider designing some EVE career based clothing designs for the various professions ? Pirate, Explorer, Miner, Industrialist, Inventor, Drug dealer/runner, etc . The choices are endless. We currently only have partial designs for faction warfare participants. Lets expand the range. A skill requirement for wwearing them would be even better.

Hell yes!! but im hesitant on skill requirements. Anyone should be able to wear almost anything, save for maybe 'high end' clothing. i dunno.

Thematic clothing could be part of a reward for completing respective tutorials. Then other variations could be available from LP stores (to cover FW, Mission and incursion runners) and rats can drop clothing in mission, exploration and ore sites. No idea what traders and haulers would do though.

plus obligatory demand to get back to a more Dystopic feel. i'd like my fat japanese business man back.

As much as EVE is about needing skills to everything, wearing of clothes should not be on that list. If you can afford it you should be able to wear it. In addition to functional skirts and dresses they should add some coat designs for female avatars (male coats in the new store look good, why none for females?)

Boots without high heels as well.
