I really just don't think its that big a deal.

In all my time playing I've meet a grand total of two people with the racial Drone specs to 5. One is OCD about his training the other is entombed in a Titan and throws stuff in his skill queue just to keep it going, the longer the better.

This is only a nerf if you continue playing exactly like you did before and ignore the fact that even though DPS on the two most popular sentry drones got decreased slightly, their damage application got boosted.

Personally, I like having 4 types of useful sentries more than 2 and I'm looking forward to using them.

Hmmm... Raw damage potential decreased a tad, application of remaining damage increased a lot... on the 2 most used.

The other 2 get damage and application increases now making them viable...

No, it really isn't. Especially not to the uninformed drivel you were spouting. The simple fact is that it is a significant buff. Your not undestanding what plus and minus means just means that you, the player, needs to spend a bit of training time catching up on the subtle differences and how they translate into nerfs and buffs.

It's so vastly separated from surprising I'm surprised that anyone would be silly enough to use the word in that context. For one, it's not really a nerf and if you weren't drone specced to begin with, you had no business using sentries anyway. Moreover, the sentries themselves received significant damage application buffs that further justified the inherently justified prereq additions.
