Yeah I saw that, I will test it out later but I am very happy to hear that you are keeping this issue in mind. If stealth bomber farming was made difficult or impossible I think it would bring the risk/reward balance of farming clone tags while also farming Mordu's NPCs into better balance. (I say this both as a low sec pirate and, in another guise, as a non-PVPing low sec explorer who certainly would farm Mordu's NPCs in a bomber if viable.)

I've said this like 3498 times but thanks for paying so much attention to low sec, in my 2.5 years of living there it has changed for the better in a huge amount of ways.


I can confirm the clone soldiers will waste your bomber from extremely long range. Previously the only ones you needed to avoid in a bomber were the Guristas variant. Now I can say don't even try with with a bomber against any faction version.

I say this from first hand information, as my bomber just got 3 volleyed by a serpentis clone soldier from 90km away.

I think missile users are gonna love these guys.

Think about it, the bonuses change how to use missiles in very dramatic ways.

Let's say you have a missile that (in anybody else's ship) has a max range of 30 km and it takes 8 seconds to reach the range (lousy missile, I know). For these guys, that missile has a range of 45 km and gets to that max range in 4 seconds.

A missile that normally has a range of 40 km and takes 10 seconds to get there would reach 60 km in 5 seconds.

A missile that normally reaches 20 km in 4 seconds will reach 30 km in 2 seconds.

And this is not even considering the rest of the ship's abilities.
