Hi all,

I have read many guides on Planetary Interaction yet none seem to discuss the topic of choosing the right planet.

1. What is considered a good tax rate in low sec or null sec?
2. What is considered a good hot-spot for minerals when scanning a planet, is yellow sufficient or should I keep looking for red? Obviously red is better, I'm just wondering what is considered acceptable.

1. Anything 10% or less for myself.

2. Um, if you adjust the slider, you should see the active areas changing shape. You want to focus on the "whitest" spot.

1: I agree with the 10% or lower.

2: As stated, use the slider and the color code to determine the quantities.

Other info:

As materials are mined, the hot spots will move around so you may have to occasionally move the extractor heads.
Also, some planets have the same materials but some have more than others, for example there is a trace amount of noble metals on a Barren planet but there is much more (On average) on a plasma planet.

Also (More common in null) if you try and setup pi there on planets where the planet office is player controlled, they may put the tax at 100% to get you to leave, happened to me awhile back.
