Possible to play eve on a tablet?

I have a lot of wait time for my job and was thinking of the possibility of getting either a smaller laptop or tablet with a mouse to game while I wait. Anyone do something similar? I could use WiFi in coffee shops or I suppose get one of the portable wifi connections companies sell. So, what are my options and is it possible?

You can play Eve on a Surface Pro. Bluetooth or USB mouse and Snap on keyboard highly recommended.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I tried on my Lenovo TPT2, didn't work well at all, gfx was all messed up. So don't hold your breath for that one anyway.

I don't mind bad graphics while just waiting. The home rig is for the 1440p.

Nice. How is the battery life and is it smooth enough for fleets?

Well it'd be fine as long as you remember where all the buttons are, right?...

I use SplashTop with the "Anywhere" subscription of like $2 a month that lets me remotely connect to my systems from anywhere.

This is me doing a level 4 on an iPod from another room in my house: http://i.imgur.com/I9lDXtp.jpg

Assuming the connection is stable enough to keep the remote desktop streaming and doesnt drop you then you can actually do just about anything.

So I can essentially keep my main rig running at home and use x device with an internet connection elsewhere and access my main rig? Or am I confused? I assume is yes, its more of a user interface that isnt limited by the x device hardware limits.

Yup! All need is a smartphone-ish device with some a good connection and to pay for SplashTop's "Anywhere" service. For free you can connect to your devices on the same network, like I did in my house. But with the Anywhere thing they let you do it anywhere you have a connection

EVE runs quite smoothly (albeit with long load times) on a Dell Venue 8 Pro. You'll need either the active stylus or a BT mouse, however, since EVE doesn't work well with touch.

The 32GB one runs only ~$250, and you can get a 32-64GB SDXC card to install EVE and other games on.

Thank you all for the advice and insight. All I need to figure out now is which personal plan for data on lap top tablet I need since I dont know if the connects at coffe shops are good enough for splash top.
