New to EVE and are saving up for a cruiser?
Well here is your chance to get one for free.

Send Nyio an in-game mail with the subject "Newb Giveaway" and I will contract you a brand spanking new Vexor.
It will be located at Couster II - Moon 1 - Federal Navy Academy School.

Your character must be over 1 week old and no older than 3 months to get a free Vexor.
Limited to 1 Vexor per person, and it will go on until I run out of Vexors or December 31st.
This is intended to benefit genuine new players so please don't abuse.
Trial accounts can't use the Contracts system.

If you get a Vexor, please accept the contract as soon as possible. Smile

Vexor Info

The Vexor is a strong combat ship that is also geared to operate in a variety of other roles. The Vexor is especially useful for surveying in potentially hostile sectors as it can stay on duty for a very long time before having to return to base. Furthermore, it is well capable of defending itself against even concentrated attacks.

Gallente Cruiser Skill Bonus: 5% bonus to Medium Hybrid Turret damage and 10% bonus to drone hitpoints, damage and mining yield per skill level.

Prerequisites to pilot the Vexor

Gallente Cruiser Level II
Spaceship Command Level III
Gallente Frigate Level IV

How much does a Vexor cost to buy? I had my Rupture given to me for free, so I don't have to worry about this, but I'm just wondering.

Tip: To everyone who now has a shiny new cruiser, bigger does not mean better. It's a good idea to get good with the little ships before you go ahead with the big ones. My Thrasher currently performs a whole lot better than my Rupture at lvl 1 missions, and my Rifter has a nice speed tank on it that makes it good for killing tacklers on higher-level missions that I run with friends. Make sure you've got the skills to fly something before you start using it, or you'll be quite disappointed. I was. :/

Vexor is a few mil tops (maybe 3 or 4?) it's been a LONG time since I've looked at the market for one of them...

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

3,5-4M ISK is what I've seen them for, some you can find for cheaper.

I like the response I've had from doing this, and I still have alot of Vexors to give out. Smile

I got mine...thanks Nyio! Big smile

I'm sure it will take me months before I can even fly it and I'm quite happy to learn everything I need to learn in the small starter ships I have now. I think I would lose interest in the game real quick if I could just buy anything I wanted and get in and fly anything I wanted.

Sure is nice to be given something for free though! I hope I can return the favour someday!

This sounds like a nice offer for new players.

I am sure that a free cruiser might be pretty handy!

Nyio,

Been playing for a week now and First time on the forum i see this, sounds great.
I will message you ingame.

Many thanks.

One thing i'm yet to learn (this isnt really the thread for it)

If you buy something in another system and forget you bought it is there a way to see what inventory you have in different systems?

Cheers!

::edit::
Got my ship, thanks very much!
