hah actually it's true. the store only works on my accounts on which all characters are docked.

ah wait, I think i got it: they can be undocked, but it has to be in K-Space

store on accounts with chars in wormholes don't work.

it's the only thing in common across my accounts, between ones that work and don't.

Interesting, this is not an issue I can reproduce myself here, or that Ive seen reported by anyone else. So what happens when you use it in space, or on the character selection screen? Can you access the store at all? Could you submit a bug report with the details please?

yeah i thought about doing that, but submitting one report without the others would be isolated, and submitting them all individually would be a nightmare for you guys.

for the accounts whose store fails, I get the store loading screen for a few moments before seeing the unavailable message.

True and false.

True as in you do need to use the launcher to authenticate with the store backend.

False as in your characters docking state has nothing to do with the New Eden Store. If you want to redeem items on the other hand the receiving character must be docked in a station.

Submitting one bug report is fine, just list the accounts and which ones are failing and Ill look into it!

Are you using the same launcher for both accounts?

submitted a bug report, from the launcher and then in the client

neither of the bug reports involved the client data dump that usually slows down the computer... was that because i submitted it under launcher? sorry about that, the only reason i sent one from within the client was because i didn't get a client dump from the first one

(launcher category seemed like a good idea at the time!)

no, different launchers

otherwise the client shortcuts in my task bar stack, and it's not as easy to manage

I use separate installs, too. after some client crashes my settings also get wiped, and the separate installs limits the damage

Ok this might be part of the issue then as one of the launchers could be causing problems.

If its not a massive amount of hassle could you try swapping the accounts round and seeing if it works? So if launcher A was used for account A before, try it with account B and vice versa.

How exactly was it you created the second launcher and install? Any info will go a long way to helping us reproduce this issue, but also try and make sure we account for this type of setup in the future.

oh I wish I thought of that.

Ok, yes, using a working launcher to launch a non-working account fixes it. using a non-working launcher to launch a working account breaks it.

clearing cache did not fix the already broken account

it's been a year, maybe longer, since I copy pasted one install, then renamed the folders to keep track. to update I copy paste the patch from the first folder into the rest, and they're deleted by the launcher after being applied.

the non-working launcher uses a shortcut that points to \launcher\launcher.exe

the working launcher uses a shortcut that points to \eve.exe

I'll clean up the discrepancies, restart and all that, and do another bug report listing the things that aren't working... it's still intermittent

OK I found my issue

the broken launchers used shortcuts that were set to start in CCP\[account]\launcher\ (improper)

instead of CCP\[account]\ (proper)

visually there was no difference between the launcher that is opened with eve.exe and the one that is opened with \launcher.exe

...SO sorry... and thank you

I noticed a bug that is in parallel (and reported it).. I can't use my Aurum Tokens if I'm not at that station. From the assets window, right clicking them yields no option to convert them to AUR.. Worse still, if I put it back into Redeeming (which is an option) they can't be used from inside the Store.. I need to redeem them, go to that station, use them. It's rather annoying, and would lead to a lot more screaming if my tokens were trapped in a station in Null :p

Second, can we please untie this from the Launcher ? I try to avoid using the launcher cause I have limited connection speed and bandwidth, and the launcher always seems to download a lot of data.. Normally it takes me up to a minute before it loads enough that it will finally let me log in.

Here's an idea I've thought about over the past several years, and now that you have clothing changes in-game (where before you had what you created your char with and that's it), it should be more feasible:

Create a uniform system. Start out with 4 baseline faction warfare uniforms, and include accoutrements for rank, achievements, certifications, etc. Once that system is in place, you could open it up to corps to mix and match various clothing items, specify the colors and accoutrements (to be assigned manually to chars based on corp permissions or whatever), and charge for them what you will (corp/char/alliance basis, per uniform, setup fee to create the clothing/color combo, wtfe).

so, i went back to the NES and poked around some more... sure enough, there were the scroll bars! a very minimalist UI element to be sure, but hey, Rule no 8... It's better to be corrected than wrong.

Well, as long as any change is an option and not required. The Sanctity dress is a bit too short to be very appropriate by itself and so not everyone would want to go pantless with it.

On a related topic, it would be nice if there could be the option to wear the skintight pants under the various dresses and skirts. The poise pants at least would work very nice as leggings underneath some of the skirts.

Is there a recommended way to create multiple launchers (or installs) for multiple accounts? I have 3 separate clients installed. Running the client directly, each client opens up with the appropriate account pre populated and I just fill in the password and go.

Running the launchers they all seem to interfere with each other. I end up with 3 identical launchers, and all three have the same account pre-populated on the drop down. The three launchers each run their own client, from their own directory, using their own cache and settings files, but I have to try guess which account to use.

I inevitably end up with launcherA, running clientA from directoryA, using configuration and settings A, but logging into account B or C because all three launchers show the same account in the drop down (the account that I last logged in with, globally. Not the account that this specific launcher last logged in to - which would solve my problems)
