iv been watching some Eve Online videos on you tube and in some battles i have seem some form of weapon were a battle ship emanates some form of massive shockwave that almost spontaneously destroys several ships in proximity.

what manor of weapon is this ?

It's either the old doomsday prenerf

Or

Smartbmbs

(Or Stealthbombers launching their bombs)

I guess you talk about the very old doomsday which has been nerfed for reasons

If its not the old style Titan doomsday then its probably pipebombing BS with a drag bubble.

Check out Rooks and Kings 2012-10-06 Pipebomb as an example of the technique.
