lets say i have a nice stack of 8 guns, that i want to fit on my ship, lets say destroyer.. with current fitting technique, or lack of.. i have to drag my guns, 1 by 1, into the fitting window. what i suggest, is a little modifictaion to the codes (well i don't know if its a little change i have no knowledge in coding) that allows you to hold down SHIFT (or any button) to drag the whole stack in the fitting window! i think it would make some kind of sense. and i hope its not too much work.

thank you!

If I shift drag a stack of weapons into my ship it should fit each one of them

yeah if you shift click a bunch of modules and then drag them into fitting window, it should fit them all to your ship.. it seems really logic with current game mechanics

+1 this would make fitting a bunch of modules much easier when there's no fit saved already.

Good idea!

I generally fit stuff by right-click -> fit, which means having to do so several times; I'd like to be able to fit them all at once. Sometimes I drag and drop, but only when I want the turrets/launchers to be on the right hardpoints for symmetry P

I suggest you to put this idea in this topic; if fits well in there and will probably gice it better chances of being considered by the devs :)

Uh, I thought they already have this?
Save your fit
Assemble another ship
Browse to your saved fit
Click the button "fit"

Is that my two cents or yours?

Actually, If I remember correctly if your 8 guns aren't packaged you can ctrl+select them all and drag to your high and they all are equipped.

But that only works for unpackaged guns and modules. I do get kinda pissed when I have to manually drop each gun in place after I buy them.

As Vincintius said, this already works with unpackaged guns. Since 90% of the time I'm fitting packaged weapons though, this would be very helpful.

I want to support this multiple times because of how useful a little change this'd be.

This is a good idea. CCP should do it. DO IT NAO!!

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

What is needed is to save weapon groups and UI layouts with saved fittings. So, if I move my warp disruptor to the F1 slot, then move all my guns to the F2 slot, when I save the fit, I should be able to fit all future ships the same way without re-customizing each one.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.
