Hey there,
Funny how some of my favorite ships for exploration get changed in patches. First it was Tengu, that got removed from 3/10. Now, Gila received drastic changes.
Anyone tried out Gila on test server and how good it is now for exploration?

Ran a couple Guristas 4/10s on the test server with it. Took about 5 minutes to do the site. Never had to recall the drones because of their ridiculous tank. Should work fairly well.

Thanks for the info, have to try it out too. New hull is quite nice. Although, I'm still sad that its not pure drone boat anymore. Sad

Heh, well kinda I am... I like drone boats and micromanagement with them. But as soon as I get home, I'll give it a try. Many players are saying that Gurista ships are better now, so time to try it out in exploration.

Just to add my feedback too (finally managed to log and try it out):
This ship is freaking OP (might be a bit biased cause I was amazed how it devoured npc pirates). With some decent skills 3-4 and T2 Hammerheads, it does ~700dps.

Gila is down right sexy, it used to do a little bit more dmg but you had to manage your drones more to make sure the rats left them alone. Now its all dps and im loving it.

beem using it for exploration as well and its been amazingly effective. makes those gurista/angel 3/10s a breeze and I can run anoms automatically while I scan for sigs. using rapid lights for missile weapon.

considering my missile and drone and gal/cal cruiser skills suck I am really pleased with how it can run any site and never ever loose any drones ever. dont even have to recall them and I can carry 2 of each type so I can do any damage and carry some salvage drones too.
