This is how AUR should have been handled in the past.

Reasonable prices for things. I like that they always only ever had it for vanity items.

Maybe they will do things like license plates, and allow custom items, if they get sufficient pre-orders. (I'm sure Goonies would love their bees all over their pilot's ships)

I glad you are expanding it. The only odd thing to be is combining the Aurum from all my pilots. Why should a bunch of pilots, some of whom may not have ever seen each other or interacted with each other, share wealth?

The new store is amazing. And I especially like the new clothes you put in it :D

Three things though:

1- Could we see more boots for womens?

2- Could we have a 3D preview for clothes, instead of a frozen image with no way at all to look at the cloth in 3D in the new eden store ? We can't even show info. At least in yesterday's sisi build.

3- The prices are TOO DAMN HIGH FOR DESTRUCTIBLE STUFF (ship skins).
I bet the use of skinned ship is very low even though people still have their free AUR in stock. Imagine when they won't have their free AUR anymore...

I and several others have been unable to access the New Eden store from Sisi. We continuously receive "Store Unavailable" messages.

Prices are too high.

The Baseline for value should be 1 PLEX - or equivalent of ~3000 AURUM.

PLEX can give you 1 month of play time, that is 30 days times 24h of game play. It's a huge value for 1 PLEX.

AURUM gives you some Vanity items that are indestructible, and hence should roam around the value of PLEX and never exceed it on a per item basis unless that item is so awesome it deserves it but never ever exceed the value of 2 PLEX 6000 AURUM.

Destructible cosmetic ship items, give you a temporary/vanishing vanity item. By its definition its a consumable a limited duration item of vanity , as such is value lies in quantity not quality hence it has to have a value way under indestructible vanity items.

As such in my opinion no destructible vanity item should ever pass a threshold of 1/6 of a PLEX in value no matter the type of item.

So any destructible item should be valued under 500 AURUM, imo even 500 AURUM is too much, i'd go with a round value of 1$ per max item cost., that brings it to 200 AURUM maximum per DESTRUCTIBLE item maximum cost.

Just my 1$.

The idea is indestructible items will be traded and should be expensive and rare. Destructible items you want to get destroyed and encourage consumption people get dumb when they handle small amounts of money. Take a lesson from Valve.

One person is much more prone to spend 10$ on 10 items then he is on spending 10$ on 1 item. Expensive items lead to care and collection not wide spread consumption.

One is more willing to kill 1$ per day every day spending 30$ a month then he is to spend once a month 10$ on one item.


In the end you will make more cash by consuming large amounts of cheap stuff then you will ever get by trying to move high value items.

If you are referring to the clothes available only to specific races in the character creator then that is a very good idea. I'll check if we can explore that further.

1. Yes. EDIT: Clarification; it has never been possible to convert AUR to PLEX, but you can convert PLEX to AUR.

2. Yes, but if you buy AUR directly you'll get 4500AUR/20$ (more info is in the dev blog)

This would be very much appreciated. I know more than a few people who'd love to have access to cross-race clothing.

Also, the blog notes 'new tattoos,' but lists the existing Prototype and Wreckage tattoos. Are these new-for-general-consumption, or were those placeholders for actual new tattoo designs?

I'm hoping the latter. :P
