I've never heard of Machariel BPO's. But that doesn't mean they don't excist to be honest.

Did you buy one of those BPO's or "saw" them? Selling a BPC as BPO is a very old scam

it is a scam. There are no BPO's.

Just 10 run Blueprint Copies.

The price he is asking is the same amount as those 10 run copies being sold. A real BPO which does not exist would have been worth Billions.

How is it possible to make a bpc show up as a bpo in a contract?

AFAIK there are NO pirate BPO's. They only exist in T1 variants and old T2 modules and ships back from the old lottery days.

apparently all this guy's contracts dissapeared after downtime ... ~ 20 machariel bpcs and 10-15 machariels already built

seems like ccp didnt hand out t2 bpo's only...

edit

please ISD Atomic Dove, could you explain the cause and origin of these contracts?

There have been glitches where when a bpc is supposed to drop a bpo dropped the most recent public one was a cynabol about a year ago ccp catches them and replaces and confiscates abused materials.

Always willing to help all you have to do is ask, though if you're in the other fleet I may not help the way you want. Just a heads up. Pub Channel: Lost Souls Trading Post

Pretty old dates on those contracts... but regardless if it's a bpo there's slaps on the hand on those ones since there's not supposed to be any BPOs of those ships.

Looking at the guy's other contracts he has several sales that are listed as BPO's but are most likely BPC's. I mean who would sell a Capital Cargo Bay BPO for 5 million ISK when they're 1 billion on the market... or a Raven BPO for 1.94m

If all you have to go on is the pictures you posted there then give me a few minutes with photoshop. I have a Revenant BPO to sell you. Only 5 bil.

If you weren't so busy being an obnoxious tool, you could have taken the ~10 seconds required to simply look up the contract history for the player in question, and you would have seen that they do, indeed, display in-game as BPOs.

However, since I deal in blueprints I went ahead and checked my own contract history, and past sales of mine that I know to have been BPCs are, indeed, also showing as BPOs. My guess would be that these older contracts are simply referencing the item basetype instead of the actual item that was sold.

It's a bug because the blueprint went from x runs down to 0 runs.
In the past 0 runs were treated as "bpos" for display, but when this changed to how it is showing now is unknown to me, Perhaps it has been that way for years, but I think not.

The real "exploit" here is that one can use a few fake "bpo" contracts to make something look over or undervalued.

It is, or at least was, possible to create bogus contract links.

However, the bogus contracts don't appear on a contract search.

Tip: Never buy from a contract link, instead do a contract search on the seller's contracts.

There's been at least one Machariel BPO that glitched into the game... it was confiscated... Also, there was recently a Micro Jump Drive BPO on contracts for 200 bil... it was probably confiscated as well. They took my Gallente Dreadnought Wreckage that was reimbursed to someone by accident. Totally harmless.

It isn't. You just put "BPO" in big letters on the contract title and hope the mark doesn't know how to read a contract.

I've petitioned something exactly like this for a republic fleet firetail "BPO" as it displayed. GM confirmed it was simply a display error.

To expand on this for people who don't know what it's about...

A while back, it was very hard to tell whether a blueprint was a copy or original, especially in some contexts. Lots of scams happened over the years because of this. A little while back, the system was updated to be a lot clearer about what is and isn't a BPO. It was buggy, as many things are. It appears to still be buggy.

I would suggest filing a bug report about it: https://community.eveonline.com/support/submit-bug-report/
