... do you think the Rebel Alliance would have stood a chance?

If your answer is "Hell, no!!!" isn't that kind of sad?

Aren't links, The Force?

TIE fighter pilots don't have the force. Luke was links on grid.

Star Wars is unrealistic anyways...

Take Han Solo, for example. Since when do -10.0 lowsec pirates give a damn about sov warfare?

Make space glamorous! Is EVE dying or not? Ask the EVE-O Death-o-meter!

If Star Wars had followed EVE mechanics ....

Star Wars would then have been a submarine movie.

hes a -2.0 High Sec smuggler, not a pirate

His ship is either a cargo-rigged Maller or a shield tanked Badger anyway

I personally never saw the empire as the bad guys. prior to the empire the galaxy was waging wars on multiple fronts, planets were starving, ect ect. the empire unifies them all, and despite their hunting of jedi they really never did anything that warranted a rebellion against them. The death star was a moon sized starbase, think of all the imperial soldiers stationed on it with their families, and the amount of jobs its construction must have brought to the economy.
tl;dr Rebels are scumbags

Death Star would have been just one of hundreds which The Empire didn´t want anyway and already has replaced besides.

Instead the Rebels would have defeated The Empire by just having a spy join it who would have stolen all their stuff right before pressing a single button and disolving it.

The exhaust port is irrelevant since in EVE's damage model everything works at 100% until the ship blows up.

Unless of course, the Death Star's control interface also had EVE's UI, and an inadvertent mis-click by the Death Star crew began overheating the exhaust port and no one noticed until it failed which then caused the reactor core to quickly overheat and explode.
