Hello MD,

I've started this thread so us trade-minded folk can share our predictions for the post-Kronos market.

What are we expecting to happen to drones, ect...? I know we aren't expecting major mineral price changes until Crius.

Good luck!

Salvage, particularly T2 and decryptors make a move up. They won't spike to the same degree that they plummeted after Odyssey but probably they will reach 100-400% within 2 months.
Remember many of these dropped by a factor of 10x(1000%) post Odyssey.

If ya actually had a secret you would already own it and wouldn't mind sharing since you would theoretically be early to the table and selling when everyone else is buying.
No?

You should probably not bother with trading

CCP dropping loot tables by 25-50% will be overshadowed by the no-scatter mechanic. That will also encourage more people to get back to exploration and will make it much easier and faster. Salvage prices may vary a bit but I doubt they will do so by a large margin.

If there is a 30% increase in exploration you are correct prices changes will be negligible.
I've gambled the increase will not be to such an extent.

I am therefore proven incorrect, indefinitely, undoubtedly.

Ofcourse the exploration will not be increased by 30% (not sure if you were sarcastic there). But the increase (whatever the number may be) coupled with the fact that you won't lose any loot due to scatter should result in net increase of salvage on the market.

uuuh yeah... that's why they are only doling out loot at 70%...to counter the fact that loot won't disappear....which I swear is where this discussion started...lol

At any rate the good loot was rarely lost. Only the bad loot because explorers scanned the cans ahead of time and knew which cans to grab. So yeah the crap loot will definitely increase in quantity because people won't be leaving it behind anymore but the good loot...well there will be less of it.

Think monocles is the way to go. Massive increase in demand is imminent after OP setting the trend.

My guess is, low end mins will go down. If the old correlation between high and low maintains, who knows. The old correlation became less strong after the drone poop change though still seems to be mostly true. If that will remain ... ?

Yeah I'm not convinced of that "good loot was rarely lost". With no scatter mechanic people will run more sites in the same time with 0 loot loss and have a marginally better exploration bonus (the implant). Also let's not forget the increased number of explorers due to better mechanics. Not having to pay attention to loot going all over the place will make exploration a tiny bit safer as well. I predict a slightly increased supply of salvage.

edit: let's not forget that CCP also stated that they may change loot tables again if it gets out of control one way or the other.

Yes well this certainly isn't a long term investment. I will have sold long before ccp get's around to making any changes.

It's debatable whether "only crap loot is lost" and even if that's true, it would be rather trivial for CCP to adjust the loot in a more granular manner (-30% here but -50% there and only -10% on THAT item) and only tell you the average. Bear
