Throw a Hydraulic Bay Thruster rig onto a Hawk. Or use Javelin. 8 effective turrets to 6.75. It will be a good scram range kiter but not the king.

I think it will be mostly utilized as 40km point bunny with dps.

10MN AB + 18KM DG Scram says yes.

I wear my goggles at night.

Any spelling/grammatical errors come complimentary with my typing on a phone

A dual damp Garmur can drop the lock range on a broad swathe of other frigates down to below its scram range before the inevitable skirmish boosts, though it is admittedly riding a pretty thin line between impunity and implosion.


More generally, it's going to be all the fun of trying to pin down a Dramiel, if the Dramiel could apply all its tackle from 50% further away and did full DPS out to its entire engagement range.

Screw the Mordus POS, I'm still drooling over the 100mn AB fit Phantasm. Pimp that ship out with implants, links , and combat boosters; talk about your kiting king.

Then whoever you're kiting decides the fight is going poorly for them and turns around while you sail off into the distance at 3km per second.

Given that the ship has minimal tank, any ship that can project damage out to 15-25km will quickly melt.

Any ship that is fast (the succubus) with just an AB will also counter this ship pretty easily since it will get caught as the guy laughs and thinks to himself he's got this guy scrammed from 18km, he won't catch me. The 10MN AB destroyers will also melt this ship (especially the 125mm rail corm).

Will it add something new and exciting? Of course
Is it the new Kite King? Only in some situations

To be fair I could create a rifter fit that would be an overpriced lossmail in progress. But yes, the Garmur will be expensive for just the hull, especially until the market cools down.

Imo the scram bonus is sweet, and would make it devastating against many targets, I think there are enough other interesting options that it won't really be King, though I think it will be pretty good. I'm looking forward to trying to get at least one kill with one before I explode.
