Re-Activating a pre-crucible account

This question is not a trial question but is the only place I can post it.

I had an account a few months back, before Crucible (and possibly revelations). After playing for a bit on a trial account, the game is definitely similar but there are also notable changes in the character creation. Are there possible problems with re-activating this account? Specifically, there is the introduction of "family name," how will this be handled? If there are problems, is there a way to at least keep skill points from it?

Character names are still read as one long string so you'll be fine. The family name thing is just a separation so that new players know they can have two parts but everyone still has they char names read in one line.

The only thing you need to do is recreate the character in the new system, otherwise that's it.

The only issue you need to be aware of is that the "Hours for PLEX" offer is not currently active. This just means you'll have to resubscribe your old account using real money.

As Xercodo said, you'll probably be required to re-customise your character when you log in, but that's all. Apart from the appearance of your character's body, everything else will be preserved from the last moment you played it.

The offer is inactive on a temporary basis and should be back up soon.
You could file a petition to get some time in order to buy a plex.
