When you load your hangar or ship full of precious assets, the cargo UI will tell you the combined estimated value of your stuff according to current market prices. It isn’t a perfect system as prices can be very varied across all of the regions of EVE Online, but it helps to get a rough idea of what you have. But this option is not possible if you are gauging the cost of assets in a contract or if you scan someone else’s cargo. Not in-game at least.

Enter http://evepraisal.com/. The process of using this tool is as simple as copy pasting! As long as you copy the assets from a list format in the client, you can paste it straight into the tool and it will bring up the estimated value of the entered items. You might be able to properly value whatever you are considering buying, or decide whether your friend’s freighter has too much of value in it.

It is very obvious that the community of players that play EVE Online are very crafty and smart people, and overcoming simple things like this is something that content creators are very adept at.

There are many more Fansites that might hold exactly what you need to assist you in EVE Online or list the information you never knew you were missing. Take a look; it is almost guaranteed you will find something to your liking. Alternatively, check out the last Fansite that was featured in this thread. The featured Fansite is picked at random every two weeks to showcase the important, community driven work these content creators bring to EVE Online.

Why is this not a game feature? You could just give out the esitmated value of the contract based on regional prices, just like you do with the same items that are not in contract but in e.g. the hanger.

Never understood this. You say it is not possible. I believe it is because not mentioning the values ingame allows for greater possibilities of contract scamming. It's a deliberate choice by CCP not to include these prices.

Oh and where is the keyboard shortcut to sell an item? Seriously annoying to right-click and click sell all the time.
