Loan Request - 1 Billion @ 12% monthly for 30 days [G2] [Complete]

Hello again, MD! I'm back to ask for a new business loan to amp up my T1 & T2 manufacturing operation. I have successfully repaid my first forum loan from Bayaz, and this new loan will allow me to speed up my ISK-making capabilities during the busy New Eden summer.

Loan status: 100% repaid. Thank you, investors.

Requested Loan Terms

Principal: 1,000,000,000 ISK (1 billion)
Interest: 12% per month (120 million)
Term: 30 days from receipt
Collateral: None
My current debts outside this loan: None (See Other Info.)

Loan increments: 50 million (Please use 50 million ISK increments to fill this loan for easier accounting. Loan total cannot exceed 1 billion ISK.)


Current Investors

Trader Frank - 500,000,000 ISK (500 million)
Koniforous - 500,000,000 ISK (500 million)


Purpose of Loan

As with my previous loans, the ISK will be used to buy raw materials for my T1 & T2 manufacturing business. This ISK will greatly simplify my operations by allowing me to buy materials in greater quantities at a time and sell products in larger batches.


Default Prevention

My net worth is around 7-8 billion now. Much of that is in the form of minerals, components, invention materials, and other items used to build shiny new things. I have a large library of researched BPOs. In an emergency situation, I would repay this loan using raw minerals (~550 million ISK) first, then base items and construction materials from my manufacturing stockpile for the rest. Additionally, I have a nicely fitted L4 mission Domi and a few exhumers as alternative income sources.


Past Loans

May 2014: 200 million ISK loan from Bayaz Sharvas successfully completed on 2014.05.29.
June 2013: I borrowed 500 million from a corpmate and repaid it on time with interest.

You may send ISK right away if you want, but please post first. Once the loan has been filled, please do not send any more. I will post another loan request when I am ready to use more ISK.

Be advised that as of 2014.05.29 06:18 UTC I am still waiting for Bayaz Sharvas to confirm completion of the 200 million ISK loan referenced above. Feel free to express your interest or commit to an amount, but it is recommended that you await his confirmation that my previously loan was completed before transmitting funds. Thank you for confirmation, Bayaz.

I was originally going to apply for this loan with the TAUTX Private Bank run by Koniforous, however the starting rate for uncollateralized loans would be 15% for me. I figured it would be better to seek this one independently and save some money.

However, I may still take out a 100 million ISK loan with TAUTX in order to start building a credit history with them, as I could really benefit from a reliable source of lower interest loans. Less interest = more profits, baby! Also, Koniforous seems really cool and I'd like to support his project. This is relevant to note here, as it may potentially raise my total debt to 1.1B during the term of this loan.

This loan has been assigned the identifier "[G2]" for "Goat 2".

As Bayaz clarified above, he is not a corpmate. It was my first time dealing with him, and we both profited.

In terms of this loan size compared to past loans, it is a 100% increase in size from my largest loan and only ~12% of my total net worth. It is only for 30 days, however, not more than that. I believe you are misreading the loan details. Never mind. Words are hard.

This is only a 30 day loan. Doing this independently accomplishes a number of things for me:

  1. Good practice for my EVE business and IRL, as I am actually in a business writing class. This type of write-up is similar to assignments we will have to do in the class. I also find the business role-play enjoyable.

  2. That is 30,000,000 more ISK I will have at the end of this month to reinvest into my business. When you are working with nice ROI's even that amount can quickly turn into a lot more.

  3. In the long run, the most profitable thing for me would be to take out smaller, shorter-term loans with TAUTX for 100 million at 2 weeks. If I repeat that type of loan 40 times over a period of 80 weeks, I can eventually lower my interest rate from 15% to 10% monthly. In half that time, the achieved interest rate would start to become quite attractive. If TAUTX is around that long, that would be a phenomenal source of funding for my manufacturing business.

  4. Building a network of trusted investors could be immensely profitable and convenient for me in the long run. That is an advantage over working with only a single entity.

I would like to cover any remaining amount on this loan at the stated 12% interest rate. I am also working on updating my lending policies to be more competitive with the forum community, by decreasing the 15% entry rate on uncollateralized loans and allowing for trusted clients to achieve a best rate of 8%. I will count this loan toward your frequent debt discount upon completion. Blink

Thank you, Koniforous! That definitely simplifies things for me. :D 8% would be a great end-goal. Right now, I have to rely solely on uncollateralized loans due to the fact that most of my wealth is in building materials and my business model dynamically shifts to make whatever is most profitable at the moment. The upcoming industry changes to reduce copy times could drastically improve this situation, however. If BPCs become efficient to work with, I could use some of my pricey BPOs as collateral, which would be great!

This loan has been filled by Trader Frank and Koniforous. I will update the title and post momentarily. Let's make some ISK, people.

Velicitia, I badly misinterpreted your initial post. I read it as, "I might be interested but I have to do some things before saying so," not as, "I am interested and would like you to reserve my spot until later today."

Knowing what you meant now, I can see I made a mistake and offended you. This was not my intention, and I apologize. One of my goals with this was to build my reputation on MD and interact with some fellow industrialists, not to offend them by making stupid mistakes. I hope you realize this was an honest error.

That sounds reasonable. I tried to apologize to her in-game, but she rejected my convo and has not replied to my mail. She may have just been upset at the time. If she changes her mind, I would be happy to have her as an investor. Let us see what she wants to do. Sorry for the confusion, everyone.

I have ID'd and added 15 more items to my production line-up, all of which hint at great potential IPH and saleability. The copiers are running full blast, manu slots a little slack as inventory needs to be moved. As my next selling cycle comes up on current items and I place material orders for the new stock, the capital injection will definitely speed things up. I should be operating at maximum output within a day or two thanks to you guys!
