Did the Mac OSX 10.9.3 eat the Launcher

I've just updated both my MacBook Pro's and now when I launch EVE on either machine I go to the old login interface and not the launcher.

It wouldn't be an issue but now when I get the message, "New Build Available" There is a new build available. Would you like to download it now? and I select the "Yes" button I get the following error message;

"There was an unexpected error while retrieving update status: Unable to download file /590158/evepremiumpatch590158-mac.tgz from the server. Error: url //cdn1.eveonline.com/590158/evepremiumpatch590158-mac.tgz not found. Do you want to go to support page?"

When I selected "Yes" Eve just crashed.

I've just downloaded the 7+GB install and installed it onto on of my machines. When I fire up EVE I still get the old style login screen and no Launcher. I just hope that when the next patch comes out I don't have to download another 7GB of data.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue with the version upgrade of OSX?

Okay, I've resolved it. Here's the weird bit. For a long time I've had EVE docked and I always select it from the dock to launch the application. What is happening is that a second EVE icon opens up next to the docked icon and the old UI startup screen appears.

However if I launch EVE from the icon in my Application folder the Launcher appears. So I've deleted the icon from the dock, launched EVE from the icon in the Application Folder, re-docked the icon again and all is working as usual.

Never seen it do that before.

Ive seen that. Sometimes, for some odd reason, OSX adds an eve icon to the dock. It goes to the eve app that is inside the eve package, bypassing the launcher.
When you see "new build available", always quit and open the launcher from the applications folder.
