Large POS , Minmatar/Amarr or (Caldari if u go dickstar)

Stick it with Hardners, to make the resists sky rocket over 150M ehp, fill the rest with ECM, points/webs and some small / med guns to avoid AFK bombers and longrange sniper fleets

I like the Minmatar/Amarr Control tower, as you can also defend it very well at good ranges.

Doing this will make the attempt to attack your POS in low sec very troublesome, long, dangerous and not worth it all. Unless u have the habit to cause so much tears and butthurt a gigant blob will be bored oneday. But in that case u lost maybe 400M and can deploy a new one within hours.

Depends what region of space. What system are you going to set it up in?

Generally speaking In my experience with titans there are 4 avenues you can follow.

1) Death-star - go for a Large POS, fit maximum firepower, e-war, and tackle as well as having a POS gunner in system with it for those special cases where you may need their services

2) Go pure resists and make killing the tower a chore. this also gives you time to form up a response fleet to kill whatever may be attacking it. ( just don't try and doomsday the dreads that may be on grid, i knew a guy who forgot he was in low and left the shield to try and doomsday the Nag that was bashing his tower and he ended up in deep armor when the remaining dreads dropped and engaged him before he could get back inside )

3) D***Star - Pure Ewar, make it impossible or very unlikely for subcaps to bash the tower effectively and then kill the caps that come out to do it

4) create an out of the way inconspicuous POS and keep it offline until the titan is about to log in, then up the shield for however long you need it and offline it again. Surprisingly few people bash offline towers, but instead bash the offline mods for loot. Give them a silo full of cheap gas or minerals and make it look legit or a cheap BPO in a lab so it seems even less likely to be the POS with the titan

SIDE-NOTE:
If you had no idea how to set up a titan POS you probably should prepare to lose it. Especially now that people have your corp and alliance name and may be running locators to find out where this 40B+ Pinata may be hiding. Ill keep an eye out if its going down

Have to admit that if I saw an offline tower with a couple labs and maybe a hangar, and I blew them all up and got a little bit of loot (few hundred mill) I'd probably call it a day and go home happy. All the other options are good but also imply that POS is meant to be kept, likely for a reason. If you can manage to keep the identity of the titan pilot a secret (which would be pretty difficult) then option 4 is probably pretty good.
