This sounds like a lot of fun for everyone involved. Good to see Zendane taking his productions up to another level.

Thank you for the kind words and suggestions, both in this thread and via private message. I am still reviewing auditions and I appreciate all submissions I've received so far. As it stands I have only settled on the casting for two parts - Jacus Roden and the Sergeant (one of the soldiers outside the conference).

If you are interested in the project as a voice actor, let me give you an overview of the remaining parts. It's difficult to condense a character's actions throughout the entire story into one sentence, but this should give you an idea. The right person for the part defines the part, however, so take my thoughts as guidance only.

Tibus Heth - Gruff, deeper voice with a touch of impatience. Time is being wasted and he is in a room full of people that set off his natural paranoia to even higher levels.

Maleatu Shakor - Older, almost weary voice with some humor in it. If you've heard Episode 17 from the Eve Reader podcast you can hear my interpretation of it (downloadable here).

Jamyl Sarum - Regal and haughty. We're talking about the divine ruler of the largest empire known in New Eden, after all. She is dealing with considerable inner turmoil but manages to cover it well.

Amon Ahashion - Dignified air, polite with a close watch on what he says. A voice of command as befits a noble-born Imperial officer.

Corporal Lutiere - This voice is one that lacks a clear mental picture. Clearly he is the superior to the other soldier as part of the DED contingent, but aside from demonstrating patience with the other soldier, this one is open to interpretation.

Again, if this project sounds interesting to you then please read the first post in this thread regarding how to apply and where to send your application. I hope to hear from you soon!

If I could create something everyone liked, it wouldn't be art... and if I created something no one liked, it'd be modern art. :)

Just to offer my 2 cents from what i've read :P

In on part Lutiere is called "old man", now i don't think this is a reference to him being too old just that he is more "experienced", from reading his lines i get the feeling that he is very much a "seen it all before" kind of guy, whereas Ulfbrard seems much like a more fresh faced soldier, things are still new to him and he hasn't seen the universe 15 times over, things have become very routine for him so i would think of him as more of a middle aged kind of guy, not as old and experienced as Shakor but well on the path, if that makes any sense at all

I dont think he has a set date, more a case of "once everything is cast"

I'm accepting auditions until all roles are filled. I don't have a set time that it "must" begin and I view this as a casual operation, something that can be worked on over the summer and released when it's done. That makes it much more relaxed for everyone involved.

It does make sense and I agree with your assessment. I think that somewhere along the line some signals got crossed in the storytelling, however. Lutiere appears as the more experienced soldier and Ulfbrard seems clearly the less experienced one, but their ranks don't seem to correspond. I remember this was brought up in the story's discussion thread but I don't have a clear idea behind why this is the case. Perhaps Lutiere is a captain rather than a corporal, or their ranks should have been switched around. Anyone know?

I never actually noticed this part as i'm not really knowledgeable when it comes to military ranks, but assuming CCP used a real life comparison as a base then Lutiere's rank does indeed seem to be incorrect, could just be an oversight or translation error, i'm not sure if english is the native language of whoever wrote this so it could just be that they misunderstood the ranking system, would need to check ingame, the NPC buy orders for dog tags should atleast give us a hint as to which rank is actually higher and if its only this story that gets them mixed up
