An associate of mine recently came across a spawn container holding some Scientists and was unable to pilfer them. Is this a new change?

How am I supposed to be a villain if... Ugh

I trust his word and judgement as it relates to Eve. Without naming names I'll go out on a limb and say that you do too... I've not experienced this but I am genuinely curious.

Has anyone else had this happen to them while flipping?

It's happened to me once. It was in a Damsel in Distress mission IIRC.

Must have been a one-off as I''m sure I've successfully kidnapped the strumpet since. I'm guessing that it's situational and may be related to whoever triggers the 'unlocking' of the spawn container, whether it be as a result of destroying a structure or trigger NPC?

Just a guess, but would also be interested to hear more.

Edit: Thinking about this a little more, it could possibly be that the items wouldn't have been removable from the spawn container because a particular trigger hadn't yet been set off by the mission runner themselves.

This would mean neither the pilferer nor the mission runner would have been able to take them at that point, like in Worlds Collide, for example, though I'm unsure as to what the message would be on attempting to do so - it's been a while since I messed with mission runners.

I had it happen to me once long ago. I was told it had something to do with someone else clicking on it at the same time, or someone else looting it completely and the container being bugged. Pretty sure its not a change.

That's good news (sorta) .. we were kinda confused because as soon as I heard about this instance I stole an objective ... dunno. We were thinking maybe it was mission-specific but that didn't make sense either.

Thanks for the feedback, dudes. Much appreciated.

Did you check your safeties? Make sure it is set to YOLO.

You know, I didn't ask ... good call. If it ever happens to me I'll be sure to check that.

This has also happened to me recently, and my safety has always been permanently set to 'fun'. My thought was that it was mission specific, too. I don't know which mission I was in, though.

"Because bug" would be better than another nerf ... although to be honest, at this point, the Kill-it-forward queu is quite full. Perhaps some non-consensual buttsex is in order?

I too have had this happen, I think containers with mission specific loot belong to whoever caused the can to launch. So if you want to ransom someones viral agents or millitants your best bet may be to warp in and kill whoever was carrying them.

Sidenote: Doing this may also cause the can to turn yellow meaning they go suspect if they choose to take it to complete their mission, suspect mission battleship in a site, no more need for the old MTU trick ( Now an Exploit iIRC ) and small gang of ships to come kill it sounds like a nice sentiment to me
