Duality Server & Passworded Systems for 2014?

Will we be getting the Duality server and private systems back for training again this year? I spoke with CCP Bro at fanfest and he said it was down to if CCP could find someone to set it up for them, so... can you? Smile

This was probably one of the most useful tools last year giving each team a chance to train in private or with alliances they trusted.
While I am in full support of the meta-game in EVE and AT it sucks when one AFK cloaker can shut down an entire nights worth of training.

Having a private area to train that has the tournament style beacons already set up was extremely useful.

I'd say not only is it useful ,but it also increases the overall quality of competition.

I have to agree. As I said in the opening post I like and respect that EVE has a metagame in these tournaments but that should be done via the normal means of spies in the TQ server, not AFK(or not as noted) cloaky people just stopping teams from trying new set ups.

With the addition of all these Mobile Micro Jump Drive units, can we please get a few systems seeded with these new arenas so we can figure out what to do with them?

If they handle duality like they did last year then each teams chosen system will have a full seeded market, even Titans can be purchased in the stations.
The systems also had a fully set up area like the real tournament meaning teams could practice warp ins from various beacons.

Duality access will likely be handled after the random draw and silent auction are complete. Preferably with them taking a mirror after the latest patch goes through. If we're judging from what CCP did for the last AT at least.

Until then, its not hard to build a few systems with your own arena to practice in.

If duality isn't an option, will we have lockable systems on SISI? Or at least tournament beacons deployed in the various systems we specify?

We need a proper way to spawn the tournament area with those MJU in place. Or locked test systems where people can set up the arena. If not we will end up with many matches ending due to boundary violations.

Sacrifices to Veritas and his Edge of Glory will happen regardless.

But yes, a bit of proper practice with the new arena would indeed be beneficial to everyone if possible. Big smile

Agreed, at the very least we need arenas set up on SiSi. Fortunately this sounds like it would be an easy thing to do.
