Station atmosphere not yet decontaminated for capsuleer consumption?

Why does it say this, when there are clearly examples of capsuleers interacting in non-decontaminated atmospheres? I feel like I missed something somewhere, and hoping somebody here can point me in the right direction

examples:
https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Hands_of_a_Killer_(Chronicle) Capsuleer interviewing a crewmember in person

https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/All_These_Lives_are_Fit_to_Ruin_(Chronicle) Capsuleer interrogating a surviving crewmwmber in person, after being podded himself

https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Jita_4-4_(Chronicle) Capsuleer goes out into Jita 4-4 "normal" area

Templar One: Mens Reppola in the hospital with his daughter, shortly after self destructing his pod; Korvin Lears (capsuleer) and Muryia Mordu (capsuleer) both interact several times in person with non-capsuleers (Korvin hangs out in a non-pod Drake for an extended period)

It says this because the EVE client has about as much to do with EVE fiction as my vote has an effect in a national election. Canon lore says capsuleers can go anywhere, the client never implmented WiS.

Just EVE's silly contextual way to say you can't walk around. Quite clearly we are able to as you know, since you pointed out several articles demonstrating so.

Ignore it. :)

One of those things you just have to roll with until things are revisited in EVE. CCP Is kind of scared of working on anything related to WIS ever since the big outcry they had when it was first released.

I'm hoping with the drop of WOD, they will be able to allocate funds elsewhere. Notice I said funds and not manpower. They let go quiet a bit of the WOD crew.

Yet another pubbie that wishes he had station access like me and the other secret beta capsuleers.

....oops.

Dammit, now CCP is going to sue me for breaking NDA!

Not really, there was an article recently about this. Apparently CCP scavenged the ressources for WOD all the goddamn time to develop stuff for Eve, so dropping WOD didn't really change anything except CCP loses less money on not developing WOD.

I never understood the big hoohah WiS caused. I like the idea, hell if were going to sit in station to avoid a war why not add in content?

I can just picture an eve themed Second Life - gambling away my savings with a slot machine in a Casino. Hell buying furniture for a room no one will ever see like Neopets or spending lots of time collecting ship models and other pointless loot from mission sites like in Phantasy Star Universe.

It was one thing I thought would add a more dynamic flavour to eve :D

Even so, back on topic I did find it odd that they need to decontaminate it. Screw it, id be happy about them abandoning WIS just give me whatever will kill me in the station atmosphere so I can fire it out of my auto cannons at other pilots.

I would sit in station right now if there would be something to do, as I am bored of flying.

Many people think that EVE is all about flying spaceships around but its not.

CCP wants go generate a complete "sandbox" universe. Sooner or later they will be forced to work on WiS again which in all honesty is a good thing in my opinion.

WiS as it was initially planned would have provided more content to all the other recent BS like the mobile structures etc.

CCP is back on a good path and the failures of the past are forgotten and forgiving.

Lets hope they dont let themselfes drift off by a few shitlords crying.
