Hi. I am trying to give a plex to a new trial account i made but i'm at a loss on how to do it. Since i can't login the trial account at the same time how could i do this? I'm probably missing something obvious so sorry if this is a dumb question ;)

Thanks.

open eve up 2 times and log in to both and trade them, or sell the plex, and send the money to the trial then buy the plex.

You can't log on with a trial account and any other Eve account at the same time on the same comp (works fine if you have two comps though).

And there are a few decent ways I can think of to do this

a. Sell PLEX and give the ISK to the trial to buy one (easiest solution, though possibly the slowest or it might cost you a bit in buy/sell deltas)
b. Put the PLEX in a passworded, anchored can in a safe spot that the trial has access to
c. Contract it to the trial (though I don't think this works with trial accounts, I'm not sure)
d. Give the PLEX to a friend and have him give it to the trial (not recommended unless it's an IRL friend and you can show up and hit him if he steals your PLEX, you're pretty much handing the guy 400M and trusting him to give it back)
e. I thought I had an 'e', but I'm drawing a blank right now

I just dumped it in a jet can by a moon in a quiet system and switched characters to pick it up.

Cavalier, but simple.

That is a little risky. Very very little, but the risk is there.

I'm not versed enough on using secure containers, but I believe you can just use that, instead. Instead of the secure container, you can do the following:

Make a safespot, and make TWO bookmarks. Turn one bookmark into an item, and jetcan that at a moon, the sun, or anywhere unpopulated that is easy to access.

If the container is still there for your trial alt to pickup then nobody should be able to find your safe spot (so long as you don't linger.) You can then use that safe spot to transfer items to your alt with less risk than jetcans at moons.

Follow the steps in this article, you will be able to run a subbed account and a trial account at the same time.

Some days you're the bug, and some days your the windscreen.                   And some days, you're just a man with a gun.

You missed the part where you're not able to run both a paid and a trial account on the same machine.

Yes you can, read the whole article.

In case you can't read:

Vista/7 Steps
Creating the symlink and Shortcuts to run your other clients Using 3rd party applications

Make sure that EVE Online has been installed. If not install it first.

Open My Computer > C:\Program Files (x86) or if your EVE ONLINE client is installed in a different directory, go there.

Hold the SHIFT key, and right-click the CCP folder, select Open command window here.

Create a new juction by typing "mklink /D EVE2 EVE" in the command window.

If you get an error, you might have to start cmd as Administrator: Press the Windows key, enter cmd in the search box, right-click the cmd.exe icon from the search results, and select "Run as Administrator"

You'll have to manually go to the directory where EVE is installed with cd (eg. cd "Progam Files (x86)" .

Open EVE2 folder. If you see files and folders in it, it means that the junction has been created successfully.

Right-click the eve.exe file in EVE2 and select Pin to startmenu or Pin to taskbar.

Your new shortcut to the 2nd EVE Client is now created and ready to run.

The pinned shortcuts can now be renamed.

I have three accounts, and when the second and third were in trial, this is how I got them to run on the SAME machine.

Some days you're the bug, and some days your the windscreen.                   And some days, you're just a man with a gun.
