Would you use a .1 m3 Cargo in your capsule?

I like the idea. I think a 1 m³ would be best as it is easier to grasp for the average pilot than 0.42something.

This would allow to put tiny things like blueprints, implants or other such high-value/low volume things into it and transport it in relative safety. The risk vs reward is: safe transport vs. basically insta-pop. This would as well allow people who cannot fly high-sec space with ships to transport some items via pod. But then flying around in a red-blinking insta-pop pod through the oh so safe Jita space might as well be a death-trap for both the cargo and implants the pilot might have.

To solve the problem with boarding/clone-jumping: if you leave your pod, the cargo is either dropped to the station's item hangar, or a cargo container is created in space if you board.

Shivanthar, it's difficult to uniformly apply logic when there are things in the game like implants which are 1 m3. I mean is a single implant really 1 meter in every physical direction?

Makes you wonder about the "implant slots" Shocked

I know, when I think about those things, I go frenzy LMAO in the middle of my work environment LolLol

Edit! : No no! I figured that out. That 1m3 you saw is the box of the implant. Think of purchasing an Intel boxed processor for example ^^. It is roughly 1m3, but cpu itself is much smaller ^.^

make it 1m3 so I can carry a single booster.

For roleplaying reasons I carry boosters in every ship I've flown since training the biology skill. I've always wanted them in my pod.

Haha, I want to fit mine with a timed area damage suicide device. Big smile

Self-destruct your pod and get the AOE damage of a single large EMP smartbomb pulse.

Would this be in addition to the ship cargo hold? If so, I'm very much against it, as you would then have two layers of safety keeping your really expensive small items safe. Example: Put BPO's in POD glovebox, board a ship, and then someone has to pop your ship, and then your pod, just to get a chance at your blingy loot.

Another point, POD's don't create wrecks when you destroy them. This eliminates the chance to drop said item as loot, which I'm very much against.

How come noone has pointed out that the exotic dancers might have built in storage space for an implant?

Roll up the T2 BPO, put it in a slim airtight cylinder...
It'll fit SOMEWHERE in that pod....

The idea has merit, but I'd prefer a special hangar for Exotic Dancers, Tobacco and Spirits over a glove box.

+1 for me, easy way to move blueprints if I don't have a Shuttle.

This only sounds like a new smuggling method, which would also require a new module: Pod Scanner I & II for detecting anything carried in the pod, such as blueprints, skillbooks, booster pills, implants, etc.

Or the scanning results could be treated like a cargo container in your hold. Allthough an additional module might not be a bad idea either.

Capsules currently don't have any cargo space available to them. What if there was a .1 m3 cargo space? A virtual "Glove box", would you find a use for it? Or would it be a waste with no real use?

I personally think it would be cool to put an array of boosters in there, you know, just in case.

Sure, but add a small chance you accidentally trigger your pod's safety when you load or unload cargo. (You know the thing? The thing that activates in cases of a pod breach and scans your brain and kills you? That thing.) Better hope you don't have any expensive implants before you load your BPC into the pod, or you may end up being killed and send back to your medical clone. Twisted
