Portraits in 1024x1024 from Singularity?

A-hah. The background is actually sort of a corp thing. We in game are Sansha Loyalists roleplayers, and the background is the most Sansha-y.

Really, the only thing to becrittle on your portrait is your face. Not because it's ugly, no ...
... but because it's really unrealistically looking. :p

Needs proper lighting, eventually realistic facial expression.

Anyhow, what I'm talking about are the 1024x1024 renderings easily found on EVE Gate,

Resolution goes down to 32x32 pixel. A complete set of midmaps. (_32.jpg, _64.jpg, etc.)
The smallest format I know that's in use is 128x128, like those on the forums.
Maybe you can point out where 32x32 and 64x64 are used?


The 512x512 ones get used in the game, when you click the small portrait on a characters info sheet.


The 1024x1024 ones can get accessed by looking at any profile
and clicking at the magnifier on the portrait.


All mipmaps are created from the high quality rendering from Tranquility,
which seems to take different amounts of time, but usually two hours.
Maybe it's load dependent, or maybe certain things take longer to render.
Maybe I'll do some more experiments about it.



Anyhow.



I have no idea how to access these images from Singularity.



If you could tell me how, I'd be happy!


Also, please, why can't we have 2048x2048 renderings?

I'd be willing to pay PLEX for higher quality renders.
You could call it ISK4CPU cycles, because I'd basically buy cpu cycles.

maybe because she used imagetest.eveonline.com instead of image.testeveonline.com

Hair loss is because of chemotherapy, not cancer.
Just because chemotherapy is used,
doesn't mean hairloss is because of cancer.

The same failed logic gets applied every day.

Your number?

Click PROFILE on top, then click the magnifier in your small portrait.

The URL of your big portrait contains your number.

Click on the portrait at the top of the forums, or on one of your posts and try and save the image.
That'll give you a number formatted like so: #######_###
The numbers before the underscore is your character ID, the number after the underscore is the resolution of the portrait.
so xxxxxxxx_1024 will give you a portrait at 1024x1024 which is the maximum I believe.
