hi,

earlier this evening my clients froze up and disconnected me form the game, when i have attempted to relog them in the client loads up & allows me to input my password but will not load the game at all.

i have ran the repair tool, changed file names used the terminal etc but it still does not work.

i even deleted and reinstalled the launcher and still no joy. i do not understand why this is currently happening as it has never happened before.

would appreciate some help.

Having similar problems. Back to the game after a year off. Just downloaded Eve today. Installed Eve with System Preferences>Security & Privacy>General>Allow Apps downloaded from: "Anywhere" selected.

After first install, clicked on the Eve Online.app in Applications folder (HD/Applications). Launcher starts, entered in credentials, signed on ("Play" appears), clicked on Play, second Eve app appears in dock (Client), a few seconds later I hear sound (Intro Video?), but I see nothing other than my desktop and the Launcher window.

I Control-clicked on the second Client app in the dock, selected "Show All Windows," OS goes into "Application Window" mode, but nothing appears. If I hover my mouse icon over the desktop in this mode, an outline of a screen appears in blue. I click on this blue screen, Application Window mode exits to desktop. Sound from Intro movie still playing, no client.

I've searched for a few hours over the online forums and can't find a fix. I tried clearing the Cache's in the Launcher. No luck.

Deleted all references to Eve Online on my Mac, re-installed it from a fresh download, clicked on the Eve app, signed in, no video game window appears. Sound from Intro Video can still be heard. Now I can't quit the game - I have to force quit.

Help?! Big smile

There's a file you can try deleting.

Macintosh HD > Users > YouAccountNameOnYourMac > Library > Application Support > EVE Online > Config

Library, in that path, is normally an invisible folder. You'll need to unhide invisible folders, first. [edit] Sorry, my original link in here wasn't quite right, try this one. [/edit]

You can try deleting the Config file and then run the game again. The game will recreate the file from scratch.

If that doesn't work, you can try renaming or deleting the "EVE Online" folder within Application Support to something else and run the game again; the game will recreate the folder from scratch. If that works, then the problem was a corrupted Application Support folder.

If the game still doesn't work, then I'm out of guesses.

tried this, didn't work either. application folder being deleted just forced the client to not load up at all.
