Tornado Fits 800s or 1400s?

Just wondering if the Tornado isn't fit like a Vargur / Auto-Mach?

8 x 800s
Shields + Tracking Computer + Sensor Booster + WMD
2 x TE + 2 x Gyro

Falloff rigs.

Seems like this setups should be able to apply decent DPS from very short range all the way out to about 80k.

But most of the fits I've seen are for 1400s...

The Tornado has next to no Tank, that's why.

Unlike the Naga, which can clock in at 48k EHP and sacrifice nothing in exchange.

The Tornado is fitted for 14s because otherwise you'll get shot at close range.

Indeed the ideal fit is as a sniper. e.g. massive alpha at long, long range.

1400's with sebo's etc.

If anyone ever looks at you and says,_ "Hold my beer, watch this,"_  you're probably going to want to pay attention.

After playing with it myself, if you use 650's (you know, the second teir AC that no one ever talks about), you can break 40k EHP if you don't fit a point (aka, you are in a blob, or have tacklers), 30k if you fit a disruptor 2. To compare it to the most similar ship available - the vaga:

Standard vaga fit - you have about the same EHP, about twice the dps, 2/3 the speed, similar align times, 2.5x the cap, 3/4 the scan resolution, and about 1.4x the sig.

Here's the fit:

[Tornado, Small Gang Shield]
Gyrostabilizer II
Gyrostabilizer II
Damage Control II
Nanofiber Internal Structure II

Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive
Large Shield Extender II
Large F-S9 Regolith Shield Induction

Warp Disruptor II

Medium Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I
Medium Anti-EM Screen Reinforcer I

meant to fly with logi support. There is plenty of pg still available, but CPU is the limiting factor here. Think of it as a slightly larger vaga, and use it like that, and things will work out perfectly.

Want to post this fabled fitting because I'm showing 22-28K EHP.

EFT says 31.7k, but I'm not the best EFT warrior. I would love to see this 40k fit too.

On another note, 785 DPS at 40km range is kinda fun!

The Nado base speed and agility are as high as a Nanocane. It makes the perfert DPS Ship to tag along. Don't focus on points or Neuts just know that you can do a ton of DPS at range. Hail and RF Ammo hit to 30 km Barrage to 45 km with gives you good DPS on Battlecruiser sized targets kiting around at 20-25km and 30-35km Barrage. Even better if you have Webs on the field.

50k EHP.

Neither is better than the other, it depends on what type of gang you're in, if you have plenty of LR webs and enough antisupport then an arty tornado is good ( don't fit a no buffer tornado when arty fitting, just fit as you would fit an AC fit but with medium ancs instead ), it just depends on your gang format, and I find tornados to have more surviveability to the other BC's just because how fast they go, with links and HG snakes mine goes 4k/s overloaded, without any speed mods

How about this.

Lol

RvB apparently loves these things. Logged on today I counted 8 separate Tier 3's.

I gotta get one

Edit: Can't link it?

As Count said, there is not "unique" answer...
Some times you need the range / alpha, so you do 1400s. Yes, you have to be EXTREMELY paper thin in a Tornado to do so...the more ppl in your gang that will do the same, the best in overall...just like all alpha-blobs. Will be fun to see that, as 1400 tornadoes can actually alpha each other Twisted

In the AC fits...well...no comments...you can fit the 800s exactly like the 650's I've seen...no Co-Pro needs etc...just slightly more creative with the lows that doesn't have to be ALL FRIKIN GYROS, and using some meta 3-4 modules here and there (LSEs for example). Range is ur friend, not insane DPS (tho the later is fun, it's good enough with 2x gyros), nor tank and invuls.

Fit for it, or fly another ship that does the job better. Think is obvious that you cannot have it all with Tier 3s, or at least you cannot match tier 2s...play with your strengths instead of half-@ss covering your weaknesses.
