Non-fw lowsec seems to generate more solo fights. I think it's just in its nature to do so as a kind of wilderness area. If we had more lowsec yet again you might see even more solo fights - provided you can find anyone.



Most of the time i go to non fw low i get an entire corp going after me going "OMG THERE IS ACTUALLY SOMEONE IN OUR SYSTEM" -_-

I havn't been very active recently because of uni work but whenever i go out i generally get 3-5 fights an hour solo..

Just don't make the all-too-common mistake of confusing solo with 1v1.

Tthough even 1v1s are fairly easy to find, at least flying frigs/dessies in gal-cal warzone.

Dessies are also good for handling multiple frigs.

I haven't tried soloing in a cruiser yet, but I'd think it's best to choose ship & fitting expecting a 1 v gang(bang).

Non FW lowsec, seconded. I'm no authority on solo but that's what I pick to get my fill of solo badassery or glorious self-welping.

Non FW low sec is totally devoid of life in my TZ (AU) so I generally wander the back systems looking for solo fights.

solo still works just fine. IMO for the time i am playing eve (last three years or so) solo pvp didn't really change - it didn't become better or worse. The important thing to realize is that solo doesn't mean 1vs1. It just means you are alone and have to somehow outplay the opponent or the group of opponents.

And no, fighting outnumbered does not mean you have to use links it just means you have to hope that someone makes a mistake and you can take them down in the right order. Kiters still work, brawlers are fine too. Just be ready to lose ships since solo is quite unforgiving. The most important part is probably to learn when to run and when to stay and engage. You are the matchmaker :)

If you don't find anything to fight just move on. (some try to cover as many systems as possible to find fights but i am rather lazy and don't move so much, and since i am in FW fights often come to you if you are in the right area - lots of roaming neutral gangs etc)

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

+1 Madrax, I have found plenty of targets down in Provi space. But its been dealing with larger gangs. Pop a few then GTFO.
