Targeting multiple ships = massive FPS drop

I seems to have FPS drops relative to when i start targeting multiple ships (From 200+ FPS down to 80 and lower)... it goes back to normal FPS after the targeting is done.

Also there's a sound loop from salvager if we warp out and they are still active. And it persists even after we change system or dock inside a station.

Switching on Windows Aero seems to have fixed the FPS drop issue (for some unknown reasons).

I've got a problem with fps when targeting one ship.. so tell me: You switched Windows Aero on or off to solve this? My Aero is already on.

I disagree!

I switched it on. But i got most of the settings disabled in Performance options / Visual Effects tab

Here's the one i kept enabled:
-Enable desktop composition
-Enable transparent glass
-Show window content while dragging
-Use windows visual style on windows and buttons

Also it's worth mentioning that i'm playing with fixed windows in EVE instead of fullscreen and interval One.

Nothing much, i have this problem for months.
1 target is 5-6 fps drop, lock 10 targets at once and i get 1fps ingame. Killed all details, tried on 2 PCs with different ATI 5770/2900pro and a 6core AMD with 560 nVidia, same thing. Different windows, different PCs, different users...just no luck.

Back before Incarna i used to have problems with having Aero turned on and my mouse cursor flickering ingame so i turned it off to fix the problem, so i tried turning it back on in Crucible to see if they fixed the problem and noticed targeting lag was gone for me. Also it might be the fact that Aero applies to the game in windowed mode?

Don't ask me why, i don't know. But it worked for me. Still i hope they fix it, it shouldn't lag at all while targeting... Aero or not but it was definately a problem for the game before Incarna.
