Sure is. These are called killmails. To view yours, it being a loss, open your Character Sheet and go to the Combat Log and you'll see the tab to toggle between displaying kills and losses. Switch to loss mode and you'll see them sorted by date from most recent to least recent.

If you plan on making a habit of this you can also upload an API key to one of the popular sites like eve-kill or zkillboard.

You were exploded by Itiniti according to the killboards.

You shouldn't mix autocannons and artillery btw, one or the other but not both. Mixing them means that half your weapons are only effective at short range, and the other half at long range thus gimping your effective damage on target.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Check your killmail under the combat log in your character page. If your pod was destroyed in low-sec you should have kill rights on that person. You can activate them and engage the person without Concord interfering, or you can sell them for a few mil to opportunistic pirates.

Note that if the person has a very low sec rating they may be a legal target either way, so kill rights aren't very useful then.

You will only get killrights in this situation if the podkill constitutes illegal aggression.

I've eaten a good number of pods in my day, but fewer than ten of them were illegal aggression.

First, good job on trying out PvP! Seriously (no troll), good job. I know a lot of people avoid it, but frankly I have found EvE PvP to be some of the most complex / rewarding / addicting PvP of any game I have tried. People just need to take that plunge. As to your direct question, see the kill mail per above.

You did not ask this, but going to put it out there anyway. If your starting out in PvP, low sec and particularly Faction Warfare low sec is a GREAT place to do it. Lots of people around, and they often fly in small numbers. I would stick with T1 frigates and destroyers (as you seem to be) while you learn the ropes, they are cheap and you will die a lot as you get your feet under you. Finally, strongly consider joining a group that will help teach you PvP. I am not familiar with your current corp, so if they will teach you PvP great. If your looking for one, consider Brave Newbies / Red vs Blue / EvE University. Good luck! Post here if you have any more questions.

Agreed with this advice, although I personally advise against destroyers and would suggest tech 1 cruisers over them (once you can easily absorb that loss; stay with t1 frigs until then).

Destroyers die if anyone sneezes at them, while frigates have the safety that comes from being hard to hit.

Again, nice to see new players trying PvP, but just to let you know that (If you engaged him first) your opponent was a T3 cruiser which are extremely powerful. Ideas for early PvPing would be to join FW or to try some solo PvP and stalk lone miners, frigates, or Industrials. Learn how to D-scan well and try to train into a cloak.
