Hello MD!

After a little break from the game I am back to station trading, have expanded to multiple major hubs and everything is great.

However the one thing that's been stumping me is the idea of inter-regional trading.

How are you supposed to get an "accurate" idea of volume for any given item when it shows the whole regions volume in the graph?

Do you just start small on a hub, casting a wide "net" of sell orders and see what moves? Do YOU just know what moves due to experience in the game? (I often have no idea what items I buy/sell do, I just know they make me isk. Haha)

Anywho any insight on this would be helpful, I know advice and stuff regarding trading is hard to come by, but thanks for reading.

EDIT: I should clerify I am talking the smaller hubs not Jita, Amarr, etc.

Check Dotlan maps to find information. You're looking for level 4 mission hubs and high traffic spots. Compare to market buy / sell orders.
Most trade will be centralized in one-four areas. Depending on how concentrated the region is. Spread your net and find which locations inter-region work best for you.

You can usually tell how fast items move by how expensive they are. Faster items = lower price.

There is a method to calculate crudely how much of the region-wide volume was in a particular station. I'll give you a hint: every station has a market share in a region.

Jerex, I believe this will hit the nail on the head for you (in very basic terms) (and Yes, it's a shameless plug) (absolutely shameless... lol)

Video tutorial by yours truly on basic inter-regional trading in minor hubs and/or creating your own minor hub:

Eve Mogul - Are you sure you are compliant with this:

Monatization Of Videos Policy

?

Just asking... What I've seen so far looks extremely good. But there's no way I'd pay for a subscription unless you are compliant with the above policy....
