Hey, I'm new to this and I was wondering if anyone could help me, what are some good things to start off with when doing trading?
I've been carting stuff around from some stations and making a little bit of money from that but I was looking for a bit more.
I was also wondering what the Market Trading Scam is.

Advice: buy low, sell high.

And since you like to travel, this trade finder might be of help.

The scam: not "Market Trading" but "Margin Trading".

A handy link about scams HERE.

Lastly, no need to thank me. Once you're rich and PLEXing to your heart's content, swing by my bank thread and make a deposit.

We ought to have more account slots open by then, of the savings variety.

Good luck.

I really am wasting my breath though, when you can avoid questions from Hexxx and RAW23 like that you must have some seriously devoted investors. --Elizabeth Norn

Learn where some category of items are produced and where they are in demand.

A tip to get you started (that is OK but nothing special): Faint Epsilon Warp Scrambler I is mostly "produced" by mission runners and "consumed" by PVPers. The former play all week, the latter mostly on weekends. In addition, the former acquire these items in all sorts of places, the latter mostly want to buy them at trade hubs.

I support the New Order and CODE. alliance. www.minerbumping.com

Buy low and sell high is good to start with. Once you understand the market you can switch to buy high and sell low.

Research items like Sabriz says, understand where everything comes from and who buys it.

Keep away from all "banks".

Understand how all the different scams work, see above.

Read all the stickies here, all the relevant entries in the Evelopedia, find the market / trading blogs, find a few websites that you find useful.

Trade stuff you like trading.
