So im currently running about in null and have scanned down the maze a number of times - i have however just skipped it due to reading up on how hard it is and the risk factor of loosing my ship. I would how ever like to beat this some time.

The problem is that most of the walk throughs are all very out dated now and i didnt know if anyone could tell me a couple of things about this complex

- what ships can run this?
-can it be done solo or do i need a logi alt?

no but the ships have and so has the fact that the rats now change agro so you cant drag agro away from your logi boat

Well, the Darwin torpedo is now kinetic... So not sure how old your guides are. Bring logi and get ready to watch it go up in flames. Ever since the aggro change being a logistics ship is suicidal.

it is easily done in a proteus or tengu, or an Ishtar.

2 kinetic hardeners, 1 thermic hardener. (Ishtar probably needs a passive shield fit). For greater safety have a damage control as well.

It can take *forever* in a droneboat if it rolls a 1 minute agro timer, but droneboats can also chaff their way out of the end scrams too if needed.

You will want to fit lse to that ishtar. With faction passive kinetic resistance. Pith b or better. RR tengu works well with the ishtar.

confirming solo tengu can do it easily with a few deadspace tank mods here and there

You can do it solo in a <1billion isk tengu, especially if you kill every wave and don't blitz. The topedo is just scaremongering, it does hardly anything if you have the right resists and keep moving.

google zaqq, go to his youtube site.. he will show you exactly how to do it solo in a ham tengu. He also has an ingame chat where he will be happy to help.. "zaqq's chat"

So you never tried it, but will after you get specific fits and instructions? Is this how you PVErs "consume game content"?

When I find a new site, I warp in and see what's in there. Your loss doesn't end up on the killboard so it doesn't matter if you lose a ship. Figuring out hwo to run a site is the only fun thing about PVE.

It is easy to run solo with a nice deadspace HAM Tengu. Pithum A-Type Medium Shield Booster should be your first bit of bling, followed by faction damage mods. You can blitz every room but the last ones if you learn the gates. Killing only the rats that tackle you in those first few rooms can get your completion time down around 15-20 minutes.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Easily soloable in a passive Ishtar. Once you kill the frigates in the last room you're fine. Bring lots of light drones, a mobile depot, and different fits for different situations.

Care to link to that specific fit? I've got about 3 different passive fits and not sure if you mean 100mn/10mn or what.

Prop mod is utility only for the maze, you can't tank the initial spawn in the last pocket with it because you can't move.

I would hazard a guess that full passive is not what people would use, ie there isn't any neuting so no compelling reason to not use shield hardeners, and you have to bear in mind how big your signature is since you'll be shot by a 160k damage kinetic missile every 30 seconds or whatever.
