So newbie here,
Bored of level one missions been doing them for two weeks now, how long does it take to get to level 2.
And if I move to a new area are my missions reset to level 1

It's all getting a bit samey !!!!!

Get your hands on the connections skill to boost your standings, if missioning is your thing training it to 3 should open up level 2 missions in short order. It'll boost your faction and agent standings to use in other areas too, things like the refine rate on ore etc are all affected by standings.

PvP is doable on day one, everybody loves a newbie in a frigate with a scram or warp disruptor fitted, they're commonly known as hero tackle.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Then stop doing missions and do something else. Exploration, PvP (solo, or gang), mining, research, industry, scamming... There is a lot to do in EVE. You don't have to do stuff that you do not like.

If missions aren't your style, try exploration, mining, or a myriad of other things EVE has to offer.

You need to get a high enough standing with an NPC corp to get higher level missions from agents of that corp. That mean if you do level 1 missions from an agent of a diffrent corp you won't get any standings with the corp you did missions for previously. so tldr; it doesn't matter where you do missions but who you do them for.

That's nonsense. People can PvP from day one with the right corp. Eve is no single player game.

You should be able to pump standings enough for level 2 within a day or two of starting with some basic datacentres and the connections skill.

Two provisos:

a) it may take more than a day or two to thave the skills for surviving the twos

b) if you are bored with level one you will not find level 2 that exciting either, missions are missions

Missions = Boring

Mining = Even Worse

Exploration = can be fun but loot spewing mechanics are a terrible and its not going to make you rich. Also with your skills its probably not worth it.

Basically all form of PvE suck balls, better to jump into something like Faction Warfare.

Just waiting for a few skills to come up to scratch before I PvP.

Mining I'd rather stick my balls in the shredder
Exploration could be fun but not yet

My friend said faction warfare was expensive be prepared to get podded a lot !!!

Try and join a corp and just focus on the activities going on with other players - rather than the solo PVE content.

Lots and lots of exploration sites that can be run in a frigate or destroyer for silly-isk for a new player. Doesn't take a lot of probe skills to scan them down in the 0.7 to 0.9 security systems. When you get them scanned down bookmark them, jump in a station to pull the probe launcher off and go to town.

As you get bigger ships and better skills, creep your way down the Security Status ladder. Low sec exploration is about to get very profitable, and Null Sec always has been.

Use your filthy lucre to get market-drunk and fly to your death in PvP hotspots on the weekend. Everyone wins.

Missions get old fast. Make your own. I like to make low sec runs for fancy loot or tags. The PvP part is getting away with it. You don't have to shoot to win... unless that's your mission.

Sure you will lose ships, sure you will get podded but you know what, that is the great thing about Eve, its just game and your ship and pod are just space pixels :)

As for cost, well that depends on you.

You can fit out a frig that can run plex's and give a decent fight for about 5mil easy if not cheaper.

You can fit out frig to just to run plex's and the chances of getting caught are tiny for a couple of mil.

Your problem is switching agents repeatedly. You should ask around to find a good corporation(mission) to settle down for and you'll move out of level 1s in a day easily. Level 3s and 4s are a great deal more difficult than their predecessors and far more rewarding. You can make a few hundred mill if you do it right.

After you make some isk and let enough time pass to build up SP, you can do Incursions if you like. They're a decent bridge between pve and pvp. Having a solid source of income before attempting pvp is probably the best thing you can do for yourself in Eve.

He didn't type that correctly, for one. 'Plexes' in some cases refer to combat anomalies that you find during exploration that have a DED rating of 1 through 10 and have increasingly better rewards.

Incorrect.

He was referring to FW complexes in which you gain LP and bounty for killing NPC rats of the opposing faction. These complexes are only found in the faction warfare area, do not require scanning, and have ship restrictions based upon their size.

Whoops >.< My bad. FW plexes are something that can be done extremely early on, as long as he learns some basics about lowsec.
