So, how many of you have put up POCO's so far?

Perhaps more importantly, how many of those POCO's have been blown up?

Was it a POCO (Player Owned) or was it an Interbus CO?

Oh just an Interbus CO. I guess lots of them have been blown up already. I haven't seen a POCO yet. I was thinking about putting one up but they cost a bit too much to have someone just come along and remove it. I should go looking around for other planets without CO or even try finding a nice quiet system somewhere and try removing one myself when no-one is around.

We have replaced all 10 in our system so far, having 0% tax rate is quite nice

As of midnight (so 15 hours old now), 1,534 Interbus Customs Offices had been destroyed.

I have seen a couple of POCOs in The Bleak Lands. Just past one in reinforced state.

So what happens when an interbus station is blown up, but nobody builds a POCO to replace it?

Stuff just stays on the planet?

You can use command centres to send up material on rockets, but you can't import.

I feel sorry for the Interbus executive in the Abraxas story .. I wonder if he made it out safely .. and how many trillions he lost?

This question only holds relevance when you consider where they are as well. Low sec ones will likely be targeted and blown much more than null or WH space. Null you have alliance protection, WH space you have inconvenience.

Low sec is where people are being screwed the most. Null and WH it's an expense to deal with and little more.

I havn't checked for a couple of days, but I did look friday morning and it was over 1300 POCOs deployed. I imagine this figure has shot up over the weekend though.

The question I find more interesting is how many of these POCOs actually have neutrals set for access.

That would be very interesting to know.

Seems a lot of people are blowing up the Interbus CO's.

What I'm not seeing are large numbers of PCO's blown up (I think I may start calling the PCO's... POCO sounds like a nickname for a bumbling sidekick).

Anyone put up any and had them shot down yet?

And if so, what type of space was it in and what type of group blew it up (pirate, Null Sec Alliance, random drive by, PI competitor, etc.)?

Well, from what I'm seeing here is that NPC POCOs are being cleared for the POCOs. As far as creating a conflict item, it's business as usual at this point. No noticable conflict.

To be honest I didn't really expect to see the massive wave of destruction forecast on the forums, however I did think that there might be some early scuffles for prime spots.

Perhaps people in low sec are exercising good business sense and are making tax rates for others reasonable enough to not cause armed conflict for ownership of the PCO.

Then again, maybe there are simply more than enough planets to go around at this point and people can more easily move a system or two over.

1500 or so deployed by yesterday isn't too shabby.

It hasn't even been a week, its way too early, I am sure that the Null alliances that were pushing this disaster are holding back at least for the short term. I would also assume that the vast majority of PCO's have been deployed in Null (Alliance protected) and Worm Hole (to inconvenient to attack). The Low region where I do PI is a different story however. Out of the 40 low systems in the region (about 300 planets) only 4 IBCO's were removed and two PCO's were put up.

Right now in the low system I am in everyone has access to PI using the IBCO's and are just increasing selling prices for the produced PI goods or adjusting for the POS fuel costs. Putting up a PCO (costs approaching 200 mil) in a region where there is only 2 presently not only would be like putting a bull’s eye on the PCO, but the entity that replaced the PCO would be responsible for its protection and replacement.

This was just a ploy by Null alliances to gain another advantage because once the PCO costs are absorbed they will reap the benefits of the higher PI prices by not having to pay the exorbitantly high taxes.
